Iran Nuclear Talks Near Collapse

Axios: Western negotiators tell Iran new nuclear proposals are "not serious"

The nuclear negotiators for the E3 – France, Germany and the U.K. – told Iranian negotiators in coordination with the U.S. that the opening proposals they presented in Vienna nuclear talks this week were unserious and unacceptable, an E3 diplomat briefed on the talks said.

Why it matters: The readout of the first round of talks show gaps between Iran and its Western counterparts that at the moment seem very wide and hard to bridge. T

he big picture: Iranian negotiators, led this week by deputy foreign minister Ali Bagheri Kani, presented two new drafts in Vienna for an agreement on sanctions relief and measures Iran needs to take in order to roll back its nuclear program in compliance with the 2015 nuclear deal.

  1. Biden had his head up his as all year when he could have tighten President Trumps sanctions against Iran.

The results might have been better, certainly couldn’t be worse.

  2. America reneged on the deal. Failed to uphold their end.

Pompeo's failure is complete and completely predictable.

Iran is a sovereign country and will pursue its vital national interests and all America can do is suck eggs.

Israel will do nothing because they are scared of Hezbollah.

  5. "Obama did not send the treaty to the Senate."

Lol. Treaties require a 2/3 approval by the senate.

The party of nyet was never going to vote in favor of a black president's foreign policy success.

Go read the constitution you ignorant dipshit.

  6. I am the only non-minority in my family. I vote conservative. Do you think I care what skin color the 60% African American Obama is?

A country chants death to America for 29 years before "The One" get elected. They find terrorism that kills Americans during that time. Obama negotiates a shitty treaty with numerous places off limits from inspection and you expect a majority of Americans to be for it?

Why would I need to reread the Constitution for the umpteenth time, when all you did was make a screeching emotional argument using identity politics.

  8. Because a blood thirsty bitch 2anted power? How many people did Khomeini have executed in 1988?

    30,000?

1988 executions of Iranian political prisoners

I hope for your sake you are not Iranian, because when the Ayatollah's fall and they will fall, the Iranian populace will not be kind to you.

    https://thediplomat.com/2013/07/the-forgotten-mass-execution-of-prisoners-in-iran-in-1988/

The executions began in late July and continued for several months. As many as 30,000 political prisoners or more, the overwhelming majority of them activists of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI or MEK) were slaughtered.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khomeini issued a decree in July 1988: "blah blah blah, I want to stay in power forever."
