  4. Where were the Congressional sanctions against Russia for cyber attacks? None until April 16, 2020, which coincidentally was an election year. So is or was Congress serious?

    - D - Putin took pieces of Ukraine on Obama's watch. Obama is a Democrat
    - R - Putin did not take pieces of Ukraine under Trump's watch. Trump is a Republican.
    - D - Putin is preparing to take pieces of Ukraine under Biden's watch. Biden is a Democrap.

Almost like there is an on off switch.

To be fair Biden is not really a Demcorat. He is only a Democrat on hios good days when the drugs kick in.

We went through WWW2 with Russia as an ally.

Now Democrats, da smart ones, want to go through WW3 with Russia not an ally. Seems as though Trump was much smarter than the Demofuck party

BTW upchuck, Congress passes laws. President execute them. Presidents can propose laws and/or veto them, but they do not pass laws.

Once again since you are slow and many repetitions are needed for you to so much as dimly understand. Congress passes laws; president execute them.

1104 would be better looking up pictures than discussing sanction, cuz he doesn't know hw many there have been, how effective they have been or when they were enacted.

  6. Trump signs Russia sanctions bill he opposed

Confronted by almost-unanimous congressional support for the package, US president had little choice but to sign a bill that officials complain will tie his hands in dealings with Putin.

  7. Two things happened.

First, sanctions backfired and hurt the US economy. The US lost money and the Russians gained money.

Second, Putin is allied with Xi. Russia, China, North Korea, Iran and Pakistan allied together is bad for the US. There is enough military might to cause enough countries to sit out,. this could have a domino effect and cause the Europeans to go weak in the knees.

You can bet your bottom dollar the the people voting yea, never war-gamed this out in their heads, on paper, or through the Pentagon.

Would Russia be a reliable ally for the US viz-a-viz China. Hard to know. Was Russia a reliable ally in WW2? Near enough?

Will Russia and China be reliable allies? For sure, only in the short term only. The Boxer Rebellion was not only about the British, the French, The Germans, the Japanese and the Americans. The Russians did more dismembering of China. Are Arabs the only ones with 1,000 year memories?

So what did the Americans gain with the sanctions?
