Business Insider: Rep. Adam Schiff says it appears to be 'very likely' that Russia will invade Ukraine
* Rep. Adam Schiff said it seems "very likely" that Russia will invade Ukraine, possibly prompting US sanctions.
* President Joe Biden has warned Russian President Vladimir Putin against invading Ukraine, saying the US will respond.
* Putin told Biden that sanctions over Ukraine could mean a total rupture in US-Russia relations.
Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff warned Sunday that economic sanctions may be the strongest deterrent against a "very likely" Russian invasion of Ukraine.
"I think it would require enormous sanctions on Russia to deter what appears to be a very likely Russian invasion of Ukraine again," Schiff told Margaret Brennan of CBS News.
"I think our allies need to be solidly on board with it. Russia needs to understand that we are united in this."

Yup. Definitely consider the source on this one.
ReplyDeleteThis is the Dems way of validating their collusion charge. Perhaps one of them will be along shortly to tell us correct Intel procedures.
ReplyDeleteIts been a reliable pattern with Schiff that what ever he asserts as either opinion or fact, the exact opposite is the reality.
ReplyDeleteHe has been uncannily unerring in that regard.
DeleteIt could have been worse. Eric Swalwell could have replaced Rep Deep Schiff. Eric could have appeared alongside honey trap Fang Fang.

ReplyDeleteAppears Likely means very little. Appears likely can mean anything from 51% to 99%.
Appears likely could mean 30%, 40% to 50%.
likely (adjective)
1 Possessing or displaying the qualities or characteristics that make something probable.
2 Within the realm of credibility; plausible.

Definition #2 gives Schiff all sorts of latitude.
Schiff did not say anything that he cannot immediately back track. People who give odds in sports are more honorable than Schiff.
IF you go by definition #1 and
What percentage is probable in accounting?
In a survey of accountants average values and ranges for the three terms were: probable, average 70 percent, range 4080 percent; reasonably possible, 60 percent, range 4080 percent; remote: 10 percent, range 025 percent (Boritz, 1990 p.

So Schiff means to say 70% or better?

What a joke. That's why we call him Schiff for brains.
ReplyDeleteI found the headline to be interesting until I saw the name Schiff in the article. I wouldn't believe Schiff about the weather even if we were standing outside. I think the Democrats would love Russia to invade Ukraine. That would give them the pretext for a putsh against the Republicans & other people critical of their policies & corruption. They could then fit up & arrest Trump, Tim Pool, Joe Rogan etc. Keep ducking 🙈
