I am helping organize relief efforts for Ukrainian refugees. Meeting the CEO of a large pharmaceutical chain in Quebec within the hour. They have committed to send a lot of vital meds to help the thousands of refugees who are now pouring into Poland and Hungary. They just want to know who to send it to, how will certain meds be maintained (insulin, etc.), and how will it be distributed.
I have a representative from the Ukrainian embassy in my home right now having coffee with my 95 year old mom who is going to be with me in this meeting. When I l called the embassy early this morning telling them the situation and that I needed help, without even knowing me they sent someone right away who knows what needs to be done. He looks exhausted but he is overwhelmed with the help that ordinary Canadians are giving.
Needless to say I am going to be busy this afternoon, and blogging will return later today.
I've not been a fan of your opinion pieces relating to Ukraine and Russia. Since you started your coverage of the Ukraine and Russian conflict that has been going on for more than 8 years, the language you used, the sources and the noted opinion views from you regarding the annexation of Crimea, and the general passive-pro Russian anti-Ukrainian stance that you have maintained overt he years has been nothing short of damning. I believe the label 'Russian apologist' had suited you quite well. You are not wrong on all aspects, but the short-sighted view of believing that the Minsk agreement was a pathway to peace was astounding since it was nothing but one more step towards full annexation. The often used argument of russian-ukrainian speaking citizens who support such an agreement has been a constant position from yourself, one that we can now see is nothing but far far from the truth.
ReplyDeleteWith all that said; if indeed you are taking active measures to help and aid Ukraine, that's good, and I applaud your efforts in doing so. As a reader of this blog, I may continue to disagree with your general stance on a fair number of issues, but at the heart of it, you are going out your way to help Ukraine and that will go a long way.
Ex-Miss Ukraine takes up arms to fight off Putin's army as capital survives another 'brutal' night of shelling and Ukrainian troops halt advance of Russian forces
ReplyDeleteYou know what happens if Miss Ukriane gets KIA.
Russian Central Bank gets cut off from SWIFT.
The New York Times is at it again
ReplyDeleteNew York Times Complains Europeans Racist for Taking Ukrainian, Not Islamic, Refugees
I don't know why. Maybe because Ukrainians did not attack on 911?
Did not lay siege to the capital of Austria twice?
Did not lay waste to Budapest, the capital of Hungary?
Maybe the editor and so called journalists of the New York Times could take their heads out of their keisters to learn why parts of Southern Ukraine has so many names of the last 3 centuries.
Anyone reading the the New York Times is a rube and a mark that older more established liberals are looking to rob.
"Whatever the Ukrainian refugees do it is highly unlikely that they will run around the streets of their new cities beheading innocent people, running over them in cars, opening fire on cartoonists while shouting “Allahu Akbar”.
ReplyDeletePerhaps the New York Times should consider the possibility that this may factor into the decision of countries expressing reluctance to accept 10,000 or 20,000 Syrians or Afghans who show up at their border, but are willing to take in Ukrainians."
Do you have suggestions of Ukrainian organisations to donate to ?
ReplyDeleteSome organizations which would benefit the most from a donation right now.
Well said, 12:13 PM. A rooskie at heart he is. But will he now, instead of trying to be seen as condescending and saintly towards innocent Ukrainians, will he now join the Ukranian Foreign Legion, pick up an AK47 or an antitank rocket launcher and fight the rooskie and bellends (belarooskies)? Then and only then would I have any respect for you, MR WNU Ed.
ReplyDeleteAmerican And British Military Veterans To Fight Russia With Ukraine
ReplyDeleteBiden would rather bathe in Ukrainian blood then shut off the oil spigot. That goes for swift too.
ReplyDeleteLot of the usual virtue signaling going on, but when it comes time to put up something not so much .
It was fine when Africa was seizing white farms, and deporting white people.
ReplyDeleteDon't you watch the news? It's ok to make decisions based solely on race again.
Just say "I'm woke". Won't get you covid treatment if you have pale skin, but oh wells.
"Devon Archer and Hunter Biden were appointed to the Ukrainian Burisma board two months after the Coup d’état installed U.S. puppet Petro Poroshenko as Ukraine’s President. Not a mere coincidence since Vice President Joe Biden was Obama’s Ukraine point man. Neither Archer nor Biden had expertise in oil and gas nor spoke the language. The RSB records revealed that each received $83,333.33 per month as director fees over two years."
ReplyDeleteWhy only prosecute Devon Archer? Did Devon bamboozle his hapless partner Disco Hunter?
Will Biden's final day in office see Joe pardoning Hunter?
what would you have Biden do? send American troops into Ukraine and go to war with Russia?Tell us what you want him to do instead of just saying he is not doing much or enough or anything.
ReplyDeleteHunter Biden!!!
DeleteIf Hunter Biden has broken an American law then by all means indict him. Till such time, stop proclaiming him guilty of something that may or may not be illegal.
ReplyDeleteHunter Biden!!!
DeleteYeah actually both Joe and Hunter Biden are in multiple video bragging about violating law, but whatever
ReplyDeleteLaws are just words
It's up to the population to enforce them
The constitution is just words
If you accept violations to that document, you might as well live as slaves
It's up to every single citizen to hold the crooked accountable. Trial them, then hang them for their countless crimes
Once you've dealt with these corrupt vile monsters, you'll see that suddenly wealth and morals will return to your nation.
Until then you'll be enslaved and impoverished and distracted by one event after another and you'll be divided so you cannot rise up against them
If you haven't figured this game out still, what can I tell you
"what would you have Biden do? (blah) (blah) (blah) "
ReplyDeleteI've answered you in the past and as usual you jut moved on like the passive aggressive PhD shit you are.
I bet Hunter is as good a telephone operator as "our worship" PHD, and he didn't even need a clearance!!
DeleteGlad to hear WNU and well done.
ReplyDeleteAs predicted my myself yesterday in a comment and others around the world, and to no one's surprise, little Vlad is threatening nuclear weapons and war already.

ReplyDeleteUkraine confirms rocket that struck its airport was fired from Belarus - as its leader Lukashenko warns war will become a 'meat grinder' with his special forces poised to join Russian assault on Kyiv
ReplyDeleteThe Russian CENTRAL bank has not been cut off from SWIFT. There are threats of nuclear Armageddon and loss of reserve currency status.
Two points on loss of reserve currency status.
First, If the USA lost reserve currency status it would be good thing. The cabal in Washington would lose power, they could not print money, maybe after a time they would balance budgets and stop illegal immigration and all the other shit they put us through.
Second, Russia is the world's 11th largest economy. After they are cutoff, will they still be the 11th largest or will Brasil Mexico or Spain eclipse it.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(nominal)
If you look at the exponential curve (Which is interesting of itself), Russia could very easily be eclipse war or no war.
You have to wonder about the governance of a country the size of Russia with it being poor and all. Maybe the oligarchy is not such a great thing.
I want to see the Russian invasion rolled back. I also want to see Vlad using dirty laundry as a vengeance weapon.
It would be nice if Belarus be cut off from SWFIT in toto. It would send a message to Vladimir and Lunkashenko.
