Russia only has 4 .
ReplyDeleteI though they had several based on that group that sailed from the Baltic to the Black Sea.

Now, the Russian Navy only has 3 Alligator class ships, which can hold 20 tanks.
Russia has 15 The Ropucha-class landing ships, which can hold 10 tanks.
Overall Russia had 21 landing ships but now has 20, They lost about 5% of their lift capacity,
They have a whole slew of landing craft. Those typically can only hold a single vehicle.

10 Alligator class ships were retired. Wonder if they were mothballed and if so, what condition they are in.
