This Veteran FOX News Reporter Just Arrived From Ukraine. Says ‘Ukraine is a Done Deal. It’s Flattened And They Lost’

Mediaite: Fox’s Steve Harrigan Returns From Ukraine With Grim Message: ‘Ukraine is a Done Deal. It’s Flattened And They Lost’

Fox News reporter Steve Harrigan returned from Ukraine with a grim message about the future of Ukraine, but also a prediction that the Russian people “are going to rise up” and overthrow Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I think Putin is being bled. And he will be bled for years and it will take years. Maybe the oligarchs who are making as much money will hurt. Maybe the Russian people will rise up,” said Harrigan on America’s Newsroom on Monday. “I think for me, Ukraine is a done deal. It’s flattened and they lost. But the next story, I think, is Russia. The Russian people are going to rise up and throw this guy out.”

WNU Editor: Fox News reporter Steve Harrigan is a veteran news reporter who has covered Russia for years, speaks the language, and understands its culture and history. More importantly he understands the Russian mind. His analysis on what is going to happen in Ukraine is spot on.

It is what I have been trying to warn about in this blog, explaining what the worst case scenario will be if the Ukraine government does not concede to Russian demands. That if this war continues and escalates.

I still have hope that a solution will be found and that Ukraine's major cities will not be destroyed. But Fox News reporter Steve Harrigan clearly does not. His message is grim, and I can only pray that he is wrong.

The above video is a must see.

  1. I like that guy, a lot. A rare combination of reporter and analyst with a heavy dose of truth (at least as he sees it). Type of person you hire to build an actual NEWS brand.

  2. I've had the same impression about the Ukraine for a good while. Nice to see some decent reasoning coming from the mainstream. Agreed, hope he's wrong, it's a sad situation.

  3. I don't want to copy the coverage of this war, but this is an unsustainable feeling. And it is worse if we shall see the people under the law of the invader.

  4. The conflict will end, when Putin is out of power.

To make it even Biden, Pelosi, Harris and Schumer could also step down.

  5. "if the Ukraine government does not concede to Russian demands."

Concede to demands = surrender. Longer this drags out, the worse it gets for Ukraine, but also Russia. It is not in Ukraine's interest to surrender.

    1. Exactly, why is wnu so eager for ukraine to surrender. Perhaps Russia should have surrendered in ww2 along with England. Ukranians are tenacious hero's with the heart of Spartans, they can and will force a Russian withdrawal even if eventually they are a govt in exile.

  7. Surround and starve out
    Russia then unable to rule
Russian economy a full disaster and unable to meet oncoming payments
Putin has put his nation back 30 years and destroyed the middle class
his only hope is from China but they are trading partners with US and Europe so too much to lose
Sanctions will not be lifted for many years
    Europe and Nato now united
Putin threat to use nukes? Two European leaders visit Ukraine today and warn that use of nukes
    changes things
Ukraine, then, may be in horrendous shape
But Putin and his rule are finished

  8. A reporter reports what, where, how, who, when.
    Editorials give opinions
The end of the Ukraine war happens when there is a victory and/or a surrender etc and not when the fighting is ongoing no matter how bleak things may seem for one side or the other

  11. The war is well beyond Ukraine and it's over when Putin's dead. Russia is done, again. Once again, we the West need to rebuild Russia and fix the mess they caused.
