UN Says More Than 4 Million Have Fled Ukraine

Daily Mail: More than FOUR MILLION Ukrainians have now fled the country to escape the war – 90% of them women and children 

* UNHCR said today that 4,019,287 Ukrainians have now fled the 'senseless war' 

* More than 2.3 million of those displaced people have headed wast into Poland 

* Women and children account for 90 percent of those who have fled 

* Ukrainian men aged 18 to 60 that are eligible for military call-up cannot leave 

* Some 6.48 million people are estimated to be internally displaced within Ukraine 

More than four million Ukrainians have now fled the country, 90 percent of them women and children, the United Nations said on Wednesday. 

UNHCR, the UN's refugee agency, said 4,019,287 Ukrainians had fled the 'senseless war' across the country's borders since the February 24 invasion, with more than 2.3 million having headed west into Poland alone. 

'Refugees from Ukraine are now four million, five weeks after the start of the Russian attack,' UNHCR chief Filippo Grandi said on Twitter.

  1. That is hugely bad for all of these people. On top of that Putin knows he can do more because there is no consequences on it.

  2. Mutti (Merkel) took in a million Muslim "refugees". Germany cannot take in a million Ukrainians?

    For Shame!


    The Ukrainians would fit in much better than military age males, who made a too high percentage of those "refugees".
