Solomon Islands Prime Minister Says It Will Not Allow China A Military Base

The Diplomat: Solomon Islands Says It Will Not Allow China Military Base

A draft security deal raised alarm in Australia, New Zealand, and the U.S. Solomon Islands Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare is trying to assuage those concerns.

Seeking to counter international fears over its new security alliance with China, the Solomon Islands said Friday it won’t allow China to build a military base there. 3. Hell no, we should not maker them a US possession. that would give them all green cards

There should be a plebiscite to join the US. And we should have plebiscite to see, if we want to take on some or all of their problems.

    Treaties will do nicely otherwise.

If China builds a base way out there and if we have more initiative than them, they will be taken put piecemeal in case of war.

  4. China want to have military bases everywhere as US. Well, this is not what they can reach quickly because this need a huge logistic. Only America have it so far and it is very, very costly.
