In a late-night address on Thursday night, Zelenskyy said that the chief of Main Department of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Andriy Olehovych Naumov , and the head of the SBU in Kherson, Serhiy Oleksandrovych Kryvoruchko, had been removed from their positions and stripped of their titles.

WNU Editor: There must be a lot of stress/worry/disagreement/and turmoil within Zelensky's inner circle on how to prosecute the war. I would also not be surprised if the same is happening within Putin's inner circle.

  1. War is always disturbing and bring instability. That's not only Ukraine and Russia but France (firing a general), Germany which is changing its mind more than often, USA which is pretty hard to find the thinking of our President, China which has a very ambiguity about this war and all others we don't know.

    1. The ambiguity of China and the others who abstained from the UN Resolution condemning Russia has surprised me. I would have expected these 40 or so countries to vote decisively with Russia.

I suspect they've approached with thought and careful analysis. Study the situation, gain an understanding of it, and then you're able to properly formulate policy.

As the outcome becomes more apparent against Ukraine, I expect to see a decisive break in Russia's favor here within the next few weeks and against our position. I believe subtle signs of this are already being seen. Additionally these countries generally identify culturally and in terms of values much closer to Russia than they do America. Our policy makers had an epic fail when they didn't account for this.

    1. The map here is at best a superficial analysis that tells us nothing about the underlying cultures. If our leadership class is making decisions based upon such superficial analysis, this would explain allot.

    1. Thanks for the pretty map. You could be a member of our leadership class. The superficial analysis is consistent. I would say it is you who has failed.

The "neutrals" can be persuaded to support us but it will require a different approach. I'm also a public speaker. One of the things needed to be successful is "know your audience." It seems to me that you and our leadership class have failed here.

In life those who try will sometimes fail. The important thing is to learn from our mistakes and change course. For a variety of reasons some people have trouble learning.

  6. Here's hoping Zelenskyy is captured and executed soon, for he is the traitor to Ukraine in my opinion.

  7. Jac correctly observers at the start of this thread that war is disturbing and brings about instability. The firing of the French General is interesting. He failed to "predict the war." Like most "western" leaders their analysis said Ukraine was going to win and they went all in on this. Once we get past the Zelensky/Ukraine cheering section, the efficacy of such an assumption is dubious st best. I expect a decisive break from the American position by France within the next couple of weeks.

As for Germany, initially they seem to make somewhat prudent decisions. Then the busy bodies get involved with phone calls, emails, etc and the know nothing ideologues get policy changed.

It is "pretty hard to find the thinking" POTUS on this because our Ukraine policy is failing and they're becoming exceedingly desperate trying new things hoping something will work.

Compounding the problem is Biden was impulsive and non detailed before his mental decline. He often says things without thinking them through or considering the ramifications of what he says.
