Devastating Press Conference From The Texas Department Of Safety On The Failure Of Police In The Uvalde Elementary School Shooting

 

Daily Mail: 'Clearly it was the wrong decision': Top Texas cop breaks down in tears as he reveals 19 officers stood outside classroom where gunman trapped victims doing NOTHING because Uvalde police chief thought everyone was dead despite ongoing 911 calls 

* Nineteen cops stood outside the classroom where the gunman was for over an hour while kids were outside 

* They thought that everyone inside was dead - despite ongoing 911 calls from people begging for help 

* The shooter fired his last shots at 12.21 and it's unclear if those shots were at the kids or at the door 

* 'Clearly in hindsight, it was the wrong decision,' Texas Dept. of Safety Steven McGraw said on Friday 

* The 911 calls from inside the classrooms lasted from continued until 12.56pm, when police killed the gunman 

* Police will not say how many people were rescued, and how many were in the class at the start of the massacre 

Texas' Director of Public Safety broke down in tears on Friday as he admitted 19 cops stood outside the classroom where the gunman in Tuesday's shooting had his victims trapped and did nothing because they thought everyone inside was dead, despite ongoing 911 calls from inside begging for help. 

Col. Steven McCgraw cried as he admitted it was the 'clearly the wrong decision'. Police still do not know whether the shooter's victims were killed before or after police arrived at the scene.
