Daily Mail: Tory MPs begin to vote on Boris Johnson's future after he tells them 'I will lead you to victory again' and begs them not to hand Keir Starmer the keys to No10 by ousting him - with the PM needing 180 of 359 to back him to limp on

* MPs have two hours until 8pm to cast their votes for or against Mr Johnson, with the result declared at 9pm.

* The PM's allies have insisted he will 'fight his corner' amid warnings that an early general election is possible

My prediction is that Boris Johnson will receive enough support to continue as Prime Minister even though 54 Tory MPs indicated this morning that they wanted this vote. But this will be a hollow victory. He will be politically damaged, and his days as Prime Minister are numbered.
