RT: Car blast kills daughter of Russian philosopher Dugin
Investigators suspect an improvised explosive device was used
A powerful explosion ripped apart an SUV near Moscow on Saturday night, instantly killing its driver, identified as Darya Dugina, the daughter of Russian political commentator Aleksandr Dugin.
The incident took place on a highway 20km west of Moscow at around 9:35pm local time, with witnesses saying the blast occurred in the middle of the road, scattering debris all around.
The car, which was engulfed in flames, then crashed into a fence, according to photos and videos from the scene.

WNU Editor: When I first heard about this attack I said to myself that it looks like Ukraine President Zelensky has given the green-light to the Security Services of Ukraine (SBU) to go after Russia's media/political/and military leaders within Russia itself.
Kyiv has been using targeted assassinations against separatist media, political and military leaders for years. Something that WNU has been covering since the start of the war in 2014. But targeting Russian political commentators on Russian soil is a massive escalation.
So why Aleksandr Dugin and specifically now?
The US gave the green-light to Ukraine to launch attacks on Crimea only a few days ago .... US Supports Ukraine Attacking Crimea (August 18, 2022), and since then Ukraine has launch numerous attacks not only on Crimea, but also on numerous targets within Russia itself. It looks like this now includes targeted killings on Russian soil.
Russian political commentator Aleksandr Dugin is well known, and is a soft target. He is an easy and ideal target if you want to make a statement against Russia and to lift morale within Ukraine that a public supporter of Russia's invasion has been killed. And while many say he has close ties to Putin (which I disagree), he is a definite supporter of the war and Putin's policies.
As to what will be the Kremlin's reaction to this killing?
My gut says nothing at the moment. The view within the Kremlin is that they are winning the war in Ukraine, and they will see this killing and the uptick in attacks within Crimea and on Russian territory as a diversion from the battlefield successes that the Russian military and its allies are now experiencing in the Donbas and near the city of Kharkiv. This even includes Ukraine's repeated and incredible dangerous artillery and missile strikes near the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, attacks that many in the Kremlin are seeing as another desperate move by Ukraine to force outside powers to get directly involved in the conflict.
What I am worried/concerned about is Russian public opinion. There is overwhelming support within Russia to formally declare a state of war against Ukraine and to do a full mobilization. Putin has so far resisted these measures, preferring to call the war in Ukraine a "special military operation" and limiting its scope. But even though Putin is a brutal autocrat, he can also be swayed by public opinion, and you can take this to the bank, there is a lot of anger within Russia against the Ukraine government that will only be intensified after this failed assassination of Aleksandr Dugin.
As to reaction from the Ukraine government. They are denying involvement in this killing .... Ukraine has nothing to do with car bomb explosion killing Dugin’s daughter – Podolyak (Ukrainform).
