US To Send Ukraine An Additional $275 Million In Military Aid

The Hill: US to send Ukraine another $275M in weapons, equipment

The Pentagon will send Ukraine another $275 million in weapons and military equipment as part of a new package meant to help shore up Kyiv’s forces ahead of winter fighting, the Defense Department announced Friday.

The package will include more ammunition for high mobility artillery rocket systems (HIMARS), 500 precision-guided 155 mm artillery rounds, 2,000 155 mm rounds of remote anti-armor mine systems, more than 1,300 anti-armor systems, 125 Humvees, small arms and over 2.75 million rounds of small arms ammunition and four satellite communications antennas, deputy Pentagon press secretary Sabrina Singh told reporters.

WNU Editor:  Here is an easy prediction. The Ukrainians are going to burn through this ammo and equipment in a few days.

  2. Here's an easy prediction, no they won't

  3. They'll waste half of the ammo trying to shoot down drones

    1. Manpads are taking pit the majority and as for 12.7mm and below ukraine has enough

  4. 1) So Ukraine is getting ammo form the USA and Russia is buying artillery ammo from North Korea.

So why is one worse than the other? Does WNU care to discuss?

Finland Loved This Unlikely Fighter Plane: The Brewster Buffalo

Russia has seen this movie before, so why are they surprised or bitching? It is not a good look.

    2) Caecus has truly gone blind, deaf, dumb and stupid. the result of some sort of derangement syndrome. He wasn't always like this.

VAMPIRE Launchers to Turn Ukraine Pickup Trucks Into Counter-Drone Systems

    a) Some of this money for systems like Vampire would have been spent anyway for Test & Evaluation. Now it is under realistic conditions. Now, the testing is under real conditions

    b) They have been looking and implementing cheaper and more effective means of countering drones.

Caecus please try to keep up dear.

    3) the debt clock does not matter any more and for much of the same reason as it did during the EU crisis of 2011.

It is my belief that the only way for the US to retain reserve currency status is to win the war in Ukraine. Yeah, Joe Biden and the rest of them are pandering, power hungry fools, who wreck things, anything in their quest for power. I wish there were better politicians in my country.

But Putin is not a economic and soul destroying politician, who is an exemplar of a politician/ape, who amasses wealth and a harem?

Yeah harem. Putin is no different than athletic baby daddies in American professional sports, Joe Biden or sheikhs. The trysts might be sequential so there is not harem filled with women at any particular instant, but the list of women is long.

And the Gini Coefficient (Russian oligarchs to proletariat) is quite large.

The Russian GDP ranking is atrocious for such a large and populous country. Russia barely beats Italy's GDP, so there is that

Sure Joe Biden is a money grubbing criminal and cad. Putin is not?

Putin's Russia look like a typical OPEC despotate.

  5. do you even read your links?

"He added that the company would need nine months to deliver the systems to the beleaguered nation."

what's nine months from August 2022? enough system for a field test, or enough to cover the whole frontline and critical areas in the rear?

"He added that the company would need nine months to deliver the systems to the beleaguered nation."

Vampire is not the only system

Plus they probably have one already in Ukraine for test. One isn't sufficient, but it is a start. Biden is always a day late and a dollar short in support of Ukraine.

You also forget the Israeli angle.

You always want to bring up 1 angle and nitpick.

Assuming that 670% of the drones are shot down now (claimed) incrementally getting up to 90%) over the next few months what will Russia do?

    ReplyDelete
  7. correction 70% not 670%

    ReplyDelete
  8. Ukraine is shooting down 70% of the drones? did you hear of the Ukrainian air defense unit that shot down 8 of the 4 missiles Russia launched? truly heroic feats

    ReplyDelete
  9. Those Iranian drones are easy enough to show down by anything 12.7 mm or bigger. The problem is there are so many of them.

As one person at SOFREP said, if you have not beaten your opponent in 3 years, you are training them. Well we are almost at the end of year one. In year 2 do not expect the Iranian drones to be effective.

Now go cry in your beer.

  10. if they are so easy to shoot down Russia is able to produce them in very large quantities indeed, or they are not as easy to shoot down as you claim. both are a problem for Ukraine given the sheer size of the border with Russia and Belarus.

your saying is true but valid for both sides, which is exactly why the Bayraktar strike footage disappeared months ago, replaced by pictures of their crashed debris.

    ReplyDelete
  11. "Russia is able to produce them in very large quantities"

So why are they buying from Iran, if they can produce such large quantities?

    ReplyDelete
  12. I don't know who is producing them. I suspect Russia bought initial batches from Iran, and after trials started producing them domestically. either that or Iran is doing it, but that seems less likely.

  13. "I don't know who is producing them"

God, now you are entering B Poster territory. Did you go on a bender and destroy that many brain cells?

    https://www.usatoday.com/in-depth/graphics/2022/10/27/russia-using-iranian-drones-ukraine-what-know/10524368002/

You probably believe Ukrainians run out to drone wreckage and paint Iranian markings on the debris and then take pictures.

"I suspect Russia bought initial batches from Iran, and after trials started producing them"

Because coming with a prop-driven, gas-powered drone is something that needs to be reversed engineered. LMAO!

If Putin went Stalin in the Russian engineers then they also slavishly copied the reliability of the shitty engines.

    ReplyDelete
  14. "Russia ... started producing them domestically"

60,000+ dead, 3 times that wounded, and hundreds of thousands fled and Russia is producing more now than last year. Yeah, right!

    ReplyDelete
  15. "more more more is good for the makers of military goodies"

You can apply that to Sukhoi and any other Russian or Chinese manufacturer. If you have read Orwell and do not than you have learned bumpkis

    ReplyDelete
  16. who said anything about reverse-engineering? as usual your reading comprehension is low, and you need to resort to strawmen :)

    ReplyDelete
  17. "I suspect Russia bought initial batches from Iran, and after trials started producing them"

Under license, industrial espionage, reverse engineering, ...whatever. Russian design bureaus should have had already something as good or better and/or Russian factories should have already been producing these to obviate the need to buy form Iran.

It is an indictment on the mismanagement of the Russian industrial base.

  18. Yes, Iran has a more advanced drone fleet than Russia, partly thanks to the US being so careless

    ReplyDelete
  19. Yeah Caecus, those gas motors are advanced. Before you post try to think.

You do know why those motors are loud, right?

    ReplyDelete
  20. If you define advanced by putting an expensive i-7 chip inside a suicide drone instead of the amount of destruction the fleet causes then it's no wonder why US tech has been ineffective in this war.

  21. The southern launch sites will be overrun, hit or brought within artillery range. The Russian military will play their same fuck fuck games from Russian territory and more so than lobbing there now depleted stocks, than they have and the war will escalate.

If you are not yet a mobik, enjoy the coming winter weather, because these will be your salad days.
