DNYUZ/New York Times: In Ukraine, Bakhmut Becomes a Bloody Vortex for 2 Militaries
BAKHMUT, Ukraine — For almost an hour, the stream of Ukrainian casualties in the eastern city of Bakhmut seemed unending: Ambulances, an armored personnel carrier and private vehicles all screamed to a halt, one after another, and disgorged the wounded in front of the city’s only military hospital.
A soldier propped up by his comrades, his face a mass of mangled flesh, walked in the main gate. The dark green stretcher that awaited him was one of several still covered in blood. By around noon on Friday, doctors had counted 50 wounded, many of them soldiers.
The day before was even worse: 240 people had come through the hospital’s doors with everything from gunshot wounds to shrapnel injuries and concussions. “They came in batches — 10, 10, five, 10,” said Parus, one of the Ukrainian medics at the hospital, as artillery screeched overhead and the chatter of machine-gun fire echoed off the surrounding buildings. “In the last couple of days the Russians have tried to advance more intensely.”

Update #2: Fighting in east Ukraine descends into trench warfare as Russia seeks breakthrough (The Guardian)
WNU Editor: The battle for this Ukrainian city has now been ongoing for four months. What has changed recently is that Russian military forces are now getting involved in this battle, not the Russian mercenary Wagnar group that has waged much of the battle. Bottom line. It looks like this city will fall in the coming weeks.
Mercenaries hired from Central African Republic to fight in Ukraine by Wagner 'complain they have been abandoned and left to starve with no ammo'
ReplyDeleteThe Russian call up went so very well. An additional 300,000 people wee called up, kitted out and trained. Or so we are told.
So why the mercs?
"Bottom line. It looks like this city will fall in the coming weeks."
ReplyDeleteMaybe, but you told is that the Russians were in Bakhmut over a month ago
"So far Belarus has provided Russia with over 120 T-72A tanks, several dozen BMP-2s and even more military trucks."
ReplyDeleteI kind of hope Belarus, I mean Lukashenko, declare war on Ukraine. They gave their weapons to Russia, which has oodles and oodles of weapons. If Belarus did declare war, it would be the end of Lukashenko and sometime later of Putin.
probably a good deal for him. he will probably get T 14s as replacements
ReplyDeletehe'll get T14s as relapcement although the russians do not afford those for themselves. the T14 might be poorly designed. It is unknown, but the word is that only a handful were procured due to cost. so yeah russia will step right up there and give Belarus 120 T14s when it does not have 120 T14s.
ReplyDelete"Andrei Yelchaninov said that state trials of new ammunition loader for the T-14 should be fully completed in 2022, and that "more than 40" Armata tanks will be delivered to Russian troops after 2023"
8:30 is doing nothing but trolling.
Why the mercs? The more the merrier. This thing is far from over
ReplyDelete🤣 Pretty much!
Delete8:38--tl;zz
ReplyDeleteI just watched a dozen Russian get slaughtered via video courtesy of a drone.
ReplyDeleteIf Russia ever gets Bakhmut, enough Russian blood has been spilled to paint the town red for years to come.
3 men, 1 grenade launcher and 1 drone. Attack foiled.
On the north side of the city the Russians have to cross many open field now and hit a defense line.
It is a waste of Russians.
Prigozhin is loudmouthed, incompetent and Jewish. Given the way society is most places to it is a liability to be Jewish. And Prig is stepping on toes. Prig has to take Bakhmut or he is gone for sure.
Get a load of the psychopath above
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing psychopathic pointing out the most of the world is anti-Semitic, Russia included.
ReplyDeleteNow 3:36 dispute the facts:
- Is Prig Jewish or not Jewish?
- Does anti-Semitism run deep in russian culture
Alleging that Russian culture is anti-Semitic does not give a pass to America, European or other cultures. So this is not an exercise in going "Ha ha Russian culture is worse." It is merely pointing out a fact.
- Is Prig stepping on toes. Those would be of the Russian defense establishment.
Myself, I would not want to be in Prig's shoes, when Putin passes on from natural or unnatural causes.
For the record 3:36, you are the psychopath.
and you at 8:57 had loonies and misfits for parents and raised you to be just like them
ReplyDeleteglad to see you do not deny you are a psychopath 9:12. there is a smidgeon of honesty left in you.
ReplyDeleteI, however, deny you allegations
