Reuters: Exclusive: U.S. weighs sending 100-mile strike weapon to Ukraine - sources
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Pentagon is considering a Boeing proposal to supply Ukraine with cheap, small precision bombs fitted onto abundantly available rockets, allowing Kyiv to strike far behind Russian lines as the West struggles to meet demand for more arms.
U.S. and allied military inventories are shrinking, and Ukraine faces an increasing need for more sophisticated weapons as the war drags on. Boeing's proposed system, dubbed Ground-Launched Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB), is one of about a half-dozen plans for getting new munitions into production for Ukraine and America's Eastern European allies, industry sources said.
GLSDB could be delivered as early as spring 2023, according to a document reviewed by Reuters and three people familiar with the plan. It combines the GBU-39 Small Diameter Bomb (SDB) with the M26 rocket motor, both of which are common in U.S. inventories.

Arms for Taiwan
ReplyDeleteThey could deliver it tomorrow. Pack it up, put in on a plane and driver it across Ukraine. Hit Sevastopol, The Bridge or the main northern rail line. It could be in action in 48 to 732 hours. Neither Milley nor Austin can move their plush asses that fast.
ReplyDeleteFace it. Joe Biden is Commander in' chief Penny Ante. Joe Biden should just transition and call himself Penny and Jill can say she and Penny are in a lesbian relationship. Puppeteers Ron Klain and Obama are not any better.
If one was to go by sheer pugnaciousness one would back Putin to win. Of course one would have picked Hitler using the same rubric. Putin does not have as many issues as Hitler and has a better MacKinder starting base.
A serious question is has Obama ever been in a fist fight? We know he either pulled a girls hair or taunted a girl. It was safe to taunt her, since everyone else was. Obama wasn't risking anything.
We know Obama has issues. He throws like Sean Kuilan. Truth. There is video of Obama on a pitcher's mound.
Putin has issues from growing up. The USSR was victorious in WW2, but if it was like Germany in the aftermath, times were lean and no one did Putin any favors. Putin grew up tougher than Obama.
Yes they could deliver tomorrow. They also could send in volcanos, F 16s, Q37s , Apache gun ships and an aircraft carrier or nuke sub.
ReplyDeleteNone of these is a good idea.
It is a very good idea. The russian navy would have to leave Sevastopol. The russian Army would have to leave Kherson.

ReplyDeletecongratulations!
you packed in more name calling, childish shirt, a reflection of your own inner issues than any thus far at this site!
Nothing but calling names and insulting and no real statements of fact.
How many fights have you been in? how old were you? who won? etc. Not everyone has been in a fight. Not everyone has your enviable war record and a list of medals that you wear to the mall.
Obama throws like a girl.

Mrs. Obama is his beard.
Are we going to have to wait another 20 years before Barack comes out?
Obama's Chicago pastor was known for matching up gay guys with beards.
The moment they told the media of considering to send it is the moment it is moving and on its way.
ReplyDeleteWNU why is that it will take until spring 2023 where all HIMARS sent to Ukraine are all intact never one of them destroyed. All they need is the missile that will reach 100miles
ReplyDeleteSimple . The Americans are a deceitful, cunning lot.
ReplyDeleteThey have no intention of sending those weapons over to the Ukraine.
They calculate that the ruskies will beat the snot out of the Ukies this winter. Ukrainians will have to capitulate and the Americans will never have to deliver.
But in the mean time it makes great press.
Thats how perfidious Albion works.
From a hardware and innovation perspective this is kind of cool.
