Border Patrol working in the north of the US have reported a 743 percent rise in migrant encounters compared to the same period a year ago.
Robert Garcia, the chief patrol agent for the Swanton Sector - which covers Vermont, New York and New Hampshire - said he was troubled by the increasing popularity of the people-smuggling route.
He warned traffickers are exploiting desperate asylum seekers with potentially lethal consequences, amid freezing temperatures and dangerous passages.

WNU Editor: While many of these migrants do travel to cross the border from Canada to the US, many stay in Canada. I live in Canada, and as long time readers of this blog know, I have been warning of Canada's migrant crisis for years. The difference now is that the illegal surge is beyond what it has been in the past, and it is impacting Canadians directly from the lack and/or high cost of of rental housing units, to low wages in the job market. And here is an easy prediction. It is going to get worse. Much worse.
Prime Minister Justin Castro will do noting unless he has reason to believe these illegals are voting conservative.
