WNU Editor: The support for McCarthy to be the next Speaker of the House is not there. The question that remains to be answered is who in the Republican leadership will be given the uncomfortable job of telling McCarthy that his dream of becoming the next House Speaker is not going to happen.

  1. I'd take Byron Donalds over that swamp hack McCarthy any day. Biden Dems are laughing now joking about eating popcorn but when they have to deal with Donalds or Jim Jordan they will rue the day they laughed.

I'll be eating popcorn laughing at old Joe trying to get something through.....like raising the debt ceiling!

  2. You imply that should Biden pass a bill that is good for the American public, your guy and his fellow Repubs will stop it. That delights you?
It is such thinking that has messed up our nation.

  3. It was reported that McCarthy was missing votes to get to 218. He moved into the speaker's Office anyway.

It was said that Trump did not spend enough money form his PAC to help candidates. the same could be said of McCarthy and McConnell. Withholding money is one of the tools the establishment has. McCarthy has "done did it". So there is no threat hanging over people's heads.

McCarthy can also miss with committee assignments. If the Democrats get more of what they want than Republicans do, then where is the carrot?

McCarthy showed that he was spineless and Democrats would always get more of what they want with the Passage of the Omnibus Bill. McCarthy showed that he is spineless.

So McCarthy has shown himself to be a squish and wonders why the whole team is not behind him.

Can we afford Biden? I remember that a Republican governor was elected. This was before he went to jail.

It was commented that statewide road repair was good although there was a premium paid per mile. I don't know if it was a 10% premium or higher than the usual rates. His cronies it was said got the contracts.

    Here is the point.

Sociologists model organisations after organism. One of the take aways is that like organisms that organisation do not like to die. An important result, Another one to consider is that organism have metabolisms. There are constraints for example on the human head and brain. The head has to be able to pass through a birth canal and the brain can only take up so much of the nutrients produced by the rest of the body. These are constraints.

Washington acts like there are no constraints. Not only do they overspend for good purposes, but they overspend to enrich themselves beyond their government salary.

Going with McCarthy would be going with the uniparty.
