China's President Xi Jinping has ordered his military to be ready to invade Taiwan by 2027, the director of the CIA has warned.
Speaking on Thursday, William Burns said Xi's ambitions toward Taiwan should not be underestimated, despite him likely being sobered by the performance of Russia's military in Ukraine, which has suffered several embarrassing setbacks.
Burns said the United States knew 'as a matter of intelligence' that Xi had ordered his military to be ready to invade the island in four years' time.

Every year he says this for a few years now. With all the aerial probing attacks It probably will not be to long before something happens. New weapon systems like the Abrams and other needed weapon systems will be up and ready by 2027 for Tiawan. I therefore would have thought they would attack within the next year. I thought they would at least go for the smaller islands first but from memory the CCP back in the late 40s had massive losses. China has no combat experience and maybe they could be a paper Tiger like Russia whom seems to have turned out to be a paper bear.
