Financial Times: Russia Is Preparing A Large-Scale Offensive In The Next 10 Days

Ukrainska Pravda: Russia prepares large-scale offensive in next 10 days

Russia plans to launch a new large-scale offensive within the next 10 days.

Source: Financial Times with reference to an unnamed adviser to the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Details: The Financial Times writes that Kyiv has obtained "very solid intelligence of intent" by Russia to launch a new attack.

The Russian offensive will likely aim to capture the entire Donbas region and may begin in the west of Luhansk Oblast, near the cities of Kreminna and Lyman, where Russia has been assembling forces for several weeks.

The Financial Times also notes that Russia is building up its troops in the south of Donetsk Oblast, with additional forces being deployed to villages around occupied Mariupol.

According to the Financial Times, Russia’s goal is to launch the offensive before Ukraine receives Western tanks and weapons.

WNU Editor: Russian social media sites that I trust have been busy posting reports that heavy fighting has been occurring along the entire front-lines in eastern Ukraine for the past few days. And now Ukrainian sources, as reported by the West, are reporting the same thing .... Ukraine reports record Russian deaths as Moscow presses offensive in east (Reuters).

 Is this the major offensive?

I do not think so. I think that what we are seeing right now is an attempt to shape the battlefield. But his could all quickly change in the coming days/weeks.

  2. "Tick tock, where are the tanks?" is the signal that the 'Ukrainian sources' are putting out with this. Meanwhile the Germans have backpedaled to squabbling with the rest of the EU about who's even giving what.
