RT: Moscow summons US ambassador

Russia’s Foreign Ministry has denounced Washington’s “growing involvement” in the Ukraine conflict

Russia issued “a formal demarche” to US ambassador to Moscow Lynne Tracy on Tuesday over Washington’s continued efforts to arm Ukraine, the Foreign Ministry said.

The move comes shortly after US President Joe Biden promised more military aid to Ukraine during his surprise visit to Kiev on Monday.

In a statement, the ministry said that it was protesting “the growing involvement of the United States in hostilities on the side of the Kiev regime.”

According to the ministry, the US is “pumping the Ukrainian military with arms and providing it with targeting information for strikes on Russian military and civilian infrastructure.” Such policies “clearly prove that assertions of the American side that the US is not a party to the conflict are inadequate and false,” it added.

Moscow reminded the US ambassador that both Western-supplied weapons and the personnel who are operating them, including US citizens, are “legitimate targets” for Russia’s military.

.... The U.S ambassador was reminded that the weapons supplied to Ukraine and their maintenance personnel, including American military personnel, are a legitimate target for strikes by Russian troops. The Russian Foreign ministry demanded that the U.S. take measures aimed at withdrawing US and NATO troops from the territory of Ukraine, Western military equipment and stop activities hostile to Russia.

We are being told officially that there are no NATO or US troops in Ukraine. My friends, contacts, and family members in Ukraine are telling me the opposite, albeit that these forces are not in uniform. So who is right?

But for me the big question is why is this message being delivered right now? Why not a few months ago?

My gut tells me that Russia is about to escalate the war in Ukraine, and is warning everyone to get out. And if there is any direct interference from the West in Ukraine, especially from Poland, Russia will respond.

  1. If such forces are not in uniform, how do your friends know they are American?

we do know some Americans have volunteered to fight, as did some in Spanish Civil War, but those are not officially considered govt sent American military.

    1. Lol, another. Liberal white the evidence thing. The US said we have troops there in advisory rolls, even if evidence was provided, you wouldn’t care, and it surely wouldn’t change your mind.

  2. I have a feeling that China is supplying some precision strike weapons that will be targeting some of these NATO forces. Like I said in the past, it’s becoming difficult to cheer for the west when we have morons like Biden and Trudeau in office. Russia defends its culture and way of life while our leaders deconstruct ours. Western culture now says anything white and Christian is the enemy. well shit, that’s half the damn population.

    2. Attacking a sovereign country is not in any way defending its own culture but making you an aggressor and worldwide pariah.

    3. What a bullshit. This is anything but defending of their culture. Simple agression, like we used to see from Russia dor centuries

    4. And what did NATO states do to Libya? Do to Iraq? Try to do in Syria? We are ten times the aggressor Russia could ever be. You have no leg to stand on to demonize another country for anything

  6. What is the total amount of soldiers in the Ukraine. There will be three elements

Milgroup. Currently Commanded by a General Therefore most likely it has apron 1000 men assigned to it.

Training and observation cadre not attached to mil group. These guys rotate in and out of country. Hard to track and are not counted in advisor population because they are not "assigned" but only "temporary attached" to the Milgroup

Black and White SOF. How many? probably 10 -300 there is no way of knowing.

So if you want to speculate you could guess that we have anywhere from 1000 to 3000 troops in the Ukraine at any one moment.

Don't get tangled in a loop. This includes all the support personnel. So it does not equal the Fighter Count. That comes out of the SoF cadre count

  7. Oh Forgot

That troop count is only for those who wear the uniform

You can bet , that the separate PMC count is a lot higher

  8. we are talking here about Ukraine. And yes. Russia invaded a nation at peace. Russia is an aggressor in this war theater. While other actions by others might be questionable, this is the point of concern.

    1. I don’t understand how so many of you can say Ukraine was a “nation at peace” when it has been conducting military operations against its ethnic Russian population in the east for years. Ukraine was building a military powerful enough to steamroll through Luhansk and Donbas and likely execute (genocide) any and all. Opposition. Stop kidding yourself and pretending your the good guy in this conflict.
