Reuters: Trump hit with criminal charges in New York, a first for a US ex-president -New York Times
NEW YORK (Reuters) -Donald Trump has been indicted by a Manhattan grand jury after a probe into hush money paid to porn star Stormy Daniels, becoming the first former U.S. president to face criminal charges even as he makes another run for the White House, a law enforcement source said on Thursday.
The charges, arising from an investigation led by Democratic Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, could reshape the 2024 presidential race.
Trump previously said he would continue campaigning for the Republican Party's nomination if charged with a crime.
The specific charges are not yet known and the indictment will likely be announced in the coming days, the New York Times reported. Trump will have to travel to Manhattan for fingerprinting and other processing at that point.

WNU Editor: This is a breaking news story. I will be updating this story within the next hour or two.
Cry more, CHUDS, cry more.
ReplyDeleteSAD.
Hahahahahaha!
DeleteIt is past the stature limitations of the purported crimes.
ReplyDeleteThe Democrats can stack the deck in the juries and judges. Eventually it will go to federal court or to SOCOTUS and there the Democrats will lose.
Alvin Bragg will not be the only person damaged. So will Soros. Everyone will now know his name and what he has done. This process is following a similar arc to that of the trans movement. Lying and overplaying their hand. People are getting fed up.
So we have CHUDS, SKODA, BLOB. We have the whole Russki troll circus. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteIf WNU is correct and high up people follow the blog, they probably mentioned it to the cyber warrior community , who are shadowing the Russian troll army.
It does not surprise me, you piss drinking weirdo.
ReplyDeleteTotalitarian ideologues run the country. This is why no one wants to do business with us anymore and why the USD is on its way out. Don’t think for a second that these religiously radical leftists won’t use nuclear weapons, because they will.
ReplyDeleteThe charges are stupid and won't stick but if this sets a precedent that might make future presidents think twice about breaking international law then I welcome it.
ReplyDeletetip: a jury, not you, will decide the outcome of the charges.
ReplyDeletelock him up! lock him up!
ReplyDeleteAs predicted, the BLOB will have its way. If they can only get a felony charge against him. Then when he tries to appeal, they will slow roll the justice system until after the election. That way he cannot run for president.
ReplyDeleteNicely played
the ny times?

ReplyDeleteAre you also a troll? Explain how this broke an international law, please.
I never said the Stormi Daniels case broke international law. I said that setting the precedent that a former president can be indicted for anything changes the game. It will no longer be taboo to the courts and these guys may think twice before blowing up, for instance, an allies energy infrastructure.
ReplyDeleteTrump will be tried, and the hush-money cannot be proven to be a campaign expense so he will get off, but the taboo will be broken. Big win for constitutionalists all around.
When you arrest a presidential candidate seven years after the fact on a civil affair, your just conducting political persecution and election interference. Nobody wins from this, except maybe Trump and his odds of being re-elected
DeleteAh! Totally agree.
ReplyDeleteJohn Edwards used campaign cash to hire his girlfriend. He won his case. that is the precedent. If Trump used campaign cash, he is off the hook. If he did not use campaign cash, he is off the hook. The stature of limitation for misdemeanor or felony has tolled. So Trump is off the hook.
ReplyDeleteViolating stature of limitations by a prosecutor is a serious.
I expect Alvin Bragg to be prosecuted. The Federal government congress and DOJ stepped into local prosecutions in various states before. It was at the end of the Jim Crow Era and it is what stopped Jim Crow.
As far as Trump's popularity. It will go up. He is being prosecuted for bedding beautiful full grown women. After all the other stuff going on this will be a plus for him. 90% to 99% of men would do the exact same thing as Trump if they had his money. Trump's relationships were consensual and with an adult of the opposite sex. Joe Biden cannot say the same.
Biggest losers will be Biden and Soros.
