EurAsian Times: Russia To Deploy S-500 ‘Prometheus’ Air Defense Missiles To Defend Moscow As Ukrainian Strikes Become Frequent
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced earlier this month that the country would finish modernizing the missile defense systems pressed into duty to protect the capital, Moscow, by the end of this year.
The nation will establish an air defense division and brigade, a special-purpose air and missile defense brigade, an anti-aircraft regiment with the S-350 surface-to-air missile complex, a space monitoring radar station Razvyazka and a special operations brigade for air and missile defense by 2023 end, Shoigu said.
Starting in 2020, a significant part of Russia’s State Armament Program has focused on developing aerospace defense capabilities. Over 3.4 trillion Rubles (roughly US$44.3 billion) have been invested in the initiative since it began in 2011, with the air defense upgrade making up about 17.5% of that total.

WNU Editor: This deployment of the advanced S-500 air defense missile system around Moscow is not because of Ukraine. It is being deployed to counter any NATO threat.
Has someone done the math or anything on what would happen if someone sent lets say 3,708 nukes at the same spot?
ReplyDeleteYes, a really big crater and and uninhabitable planet.
DeleteBut, would the S500 help?
ReplyDeleteRussia is going to need them. Bad things happen, when you buy politicians.

Jim Fisher, who was axed after 5 decades on the air, said there was a simple way to defeat ballistic missile defense. Start at the edge of the air defense bubble. Detonate a nuke and screw with its radar via EMP. Immediately detonate a another nuke closer in. Rinse and repeat. Walk the nukes in. A continuous chain of nukes from starting point to target.
He used the term "Walking in" or walking the nukes in.
My question was rhetorical. They are scaring their own people that someone will actually nuke them.
DeleteWhat was Jimmies plan once the first missile was in the air and Russian commanders follow their established doctrine and launch all nukes in reply?
ReplyDeleteNATO is restarted
ReplyDeleteThe retarded ❤️
ReplyDeleteGot no soul NATO u fools
ReplyDelete4 billion people will die fast
ReplyDelete1022 you #failed at constructing a possessive. DA Russian.
ReplyDeleteNo, Jimmy speaks Russian, Japanese and English. His commentary was not on a first strike, sneak attack or anything like that. His commentary was on how to defeat Russian ballistic missile defenses. Russians always like to brag about how they have more and better ballistic missile defenses than the US. It is one thing fools like yourself use to try to discourage people. Keep thinking that.
We all use to think the world over that the vaunted Russian army was going to wipe Ukraine off the map in 2 or 3 weeks or 2 or 3 days. The best Russians soldiers and formations got chewed up. Most of them are dead. Now they were not rich like all the assholes in Moscow, but they are needed and now you do not have them. Same thing is going to happen to you as happened to the Avars after Lechfeld.
Really you stupid Russians should have tried an honest soft power approach like Esperanto. You could more easily find a Hmong villager figure that one out than most Russians.
The Russians live in your head man. If you want to nuke em go grab a pistol and knock ‘em outta there!
DeleteSo they are scaring their own people. Nuke talk by the North Koreans, Iranians and Russians have gone on for a long time. Courage can be ablated. Whereas earlier bellicose language can be put down to idle threats, internal consumption or something after awhile it wears at you. These one trick pony dictators could make it a self fulfilling prophecy.

Standard Test Methods for Conducting Creep, Creep-Rupture, and Stress ...
1.1 These test methods cover the determination of the amount of deformation as a function of time (creep test) and the measurement of the time for fracture to occur when sufficient force is present (rupture test) for materials when under constant tensile forces at constant temperature. It also includes the essential requirements for testing equipment.
Consider continual nuclear threats like continual pressure on a rubber specimen. Consider that the threatener think they will get what they want or that they will let up at some time and things will go back to the status quo. Not so fast. Some things stay deformed or "get bent."

ReplyDeleteBottom line: you launch, they launch.
ReplyDeleteYour best bet in this senerio is a launch without warning. No tale tale precursors. So tomorrow morning you get up, with no preparation of your assets or people...You launch.
If you are extrwamly lucky you will catch your enemy completely off guard and destroy most of his ground based assets still on the tarmac or in the silos.
The problem you face is his subs. Since this was a complete surprise attack your forces have little reaction time to destroy remaining nuke carriers.
This is where your ABM forces are critical. They will be your saving grace if they are ready and you have enough.
The bottom line if you are lucky, your enemy will be destroyed and you will suffer limited caulties and destruction.
Figure 20 to 70 million dead and destruction of only a portion of you infrastructure.
Better make sure you do it right, because if you do not, then you will have to deal with the "dead hand" system. If the Russians still have that thing up and running anymore.
MAD is understood. Has been for 60+ years. But at some point people like Putin are just too big of an asshole to let live.
ReplyDeletePeople can get to the point where they have been threatened as nauseum that they DGF.
Russia: no birth rate, no army, no people. Just nukes left and a funny looking Russian dude with a harem, who was once spy.
Tell me again how those Russian prison volunteers survived combat and were pardoned, but are now back in prison? You are going to get some recidivism no matter what. Like to see that states on that. It is almost as if there were no jobs waiting for them. How does that happen in a war economy with balls out production?
So you sent them back to prison. Good luck on getting more volunteers.
What you ought to do 1:10 is get a shelter pet. Maybe you would learn something for once in your life.
Classic dunce.
ReplyDeleteIf that is what you want hope you get it
Yeah that birth rate is below 2.0. Where are you going to get soldiers for your army lulz?
ReplyDeleteWere are you going to get soldiers dunce. 75 of your eligible draft population Cannot make it.
ReplyDeleteAnyway dunce. This thread is about the S500 system and Russian anti air / missle protection.
Not about your ideological hatred of some work leader,
Which work leader do you speak of?
ReplyDeleteI was replying to Hans. I did not take the thread astray.
Touchy, you are. Feeling things slipping away perhaps?
