DNYUZ/New York Times: New Batch of Classified Documents Appear on Social Media Sites
WASHINGTON — A new batch of classified documents that appear to detail American national security secrets from Ukraine to the Middle East to China surfaced on social media sites on Friday, alarming the Pentagon and adding turmoil to a situation that seemed to have caught the Biden administration off guard.
The scale of the leak — analysts say more than 100 documents may have been obtained — along with the sensitivity of the documents themselves, could be hugely damaging, officials said.
A senior intelligence official called the leak “a nightmare for the Five Eyes,” in a reference to the United States, Britain, Australia, New Zealand and Canada, the so-called Five Eyes nations that broadly share intelligence.

I don't know what to believe anymore. It would be classic and predictable for a side to release disinformation before an attack. I have no information on the details leaked but what I do trust is that the Russians know what is happening on the ground in the battle areas of Ukraine. IF they are calling bullshit then it probably is..........unless, calling bullshit is Russia disinformation. oh the humanity.

DeleteReminds me of Laurel & Hardy. "I gave it to you for you to give it to him for him to give it to her for her to give it to you for you to give it to me....."

ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely right. Could be real, could be fake.
But I will say this from years of MIL experience in ops planning. Whoever did these graphics knew what they were doing. It is what you would see in any MIL TOC or planning room.
9:29, I wouldn't have that expertise, but, there is a movie on Netflix that is about the English creating a false invasion story by dumping a body onto the beach in a Mediterranean country. the body was an English officer carrying fake plans for the invasion of Europe. the movie covered the pain staking thought that went into making it appear authentic. But, I don't know, I just have to watch.
ReplyDeleteI know the CIA dumps their lies on us through the New York Times.

I remember that story. Based on true events. WWII, British counter intel op. The dead guy had invasion plans of Europe or Italy that were all fake. Plan was for Germans to find the info, which they did, and therefore throw off German preparations and force deployment locations. It worked.
British methodology via Churchill.
"The truth is so valuable, that it must be protected by a bodyguard of lies"
Brits still mostly operate on this principle.
That is why it is wise to never believe Brit MoD intel reports.
I have also thought about that, Ron.
ReplyDeleteWhatever the case, I would also be fascinated by looking at pictures of those files too from Operation Fortitude. This is the side we never get to see.
