Global Firepower's 2023 Military Strength Ranking lists 145 countries in order of their overall strength.
The ranking considers factors including the amount of military equipment and troops each country has, as well as their financial standing, geography, and avaliable resources.
It uses these factors to generate a PowerIndex score, with a score closer to zero indicating a more powerful military.

This list shows its lack of worth by omitting North Korea, which has the world’s fourth-largest military, with more than 1.2 million personnel. It has chemical, biological and nuclear weapons. It has successfully tested missiles that could strike the United States with a nuclear warhead.

DeleteAgreed!! I've always felt this particular list is worthless. I tend to dismiss them as part of the US government propaganda arm.
DeleteAny list that doesn't include NK near the top shouldn't be taken seriously. Also, US leadership at the highest levels have repeatedly demonstrated monumental incompetence. Putting the US ahead of both Russia and China is at best reckless and likeky dangerous as it tends to lead to a false sense of secutity among the American people and perhaps some of our "allies."
Canada is pathetic. It would be invaded and over run in a week without the US military. For the socialists who love their globalist healthcare system in Canada you just remember how it is we can have that program. No military! Thank-you big brother USA!
