REF: Top U.S. General Says Russia Won't Win In Ukraine, But Fight Will Be Long And 'Bloody'
The top U.S. commander, General Mark Milley, has said Russia will not achieve a military victory in Ukraine, forecasting a "hard" and "bloody" fight going forward, as the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG) of countries supporting Kyiv in its fight against Russia conducted an international virtual meeting.
"This war, militarily, is not going to be won by Russia. It's just not," Milley told reporters on May 25 following the virtual meeting. He added that the Kremlin's original goals – which included removing the current Ukrainian government -- "are not achievable militarily. They're not going to be done."

ReplyDeleteto save Ukraine, we will ruin the West
OK.. but just tell us upfront that you are more than willing to spend trillions of our money to protect a country that is not part of NATO and is not a democracy.
They outlaw political opponents, censorship is rampant, corruption ... don't even get me started. Ukraine was always ranking top corruption lists.
Of course they wanna help them.
Because they are just like them.
Corrupt. Censoring. Tyrants.
Putting you in coffins, so they can stay in power.
Distracting you with wars while they put CDBC and WHO treaties in place.
We should own this mistake and not double down on a war that is caused by our broken promise not to expand NATO east wards.
ReplyDeleteWE ARE AT THEIR BORDER YOU FCKING MORONS
what would we do if russia would finance and expansion to mexico?
Fcking war mongerers, thieves and tyrants.
I say stop the war, save the people and HANG THEM instead.
Look and read carefully Milley's words.
ReplyDeleteThe words say nothing
What does it mean to win militarily in this situation? Are Russian goals in line with.... the perceived understanding of Russian goals by Milley and the west?
You do not really know.
But logically, does Russia have the military strength and capability to Destroy Kiev and the Ukrainian government. Of course it does. Then why has it not been done?
Who knows?
All The Bear and Backfire bombers are still there. You have over 4000 modern aircraft not to mention your older models that could be used after your 5 gen destroy the ADA. And why not arm a few ICBMs with conventional warheads? The ukianinan parliament and bureaucracy would at least be pulverized.
But that is not happening, nor expected to happen. Why? no one knows.
So what does "winning Militarily" mean. Does it mean the Russians are losing ? Does it mean the Ukrainians are Losing?
No in both cases.
So what does it mean?
Well for General Milley it is a group of words stated to say our side is doing ok and we have confidence in our statecraft and our allies abilities.
Which, of course, is a bunch of gobbledygook that means nothing.
Milley doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. All he knows is "white rage" and politically correct horseshit. He's a disgrace to his uniform.
ReplyDeleteFor 2:00.
ReplyDeletetypo, 4000 is really 1000. this is according to general Milley. Is he telling the Truth? Who Knows?
Here's how I interpret this: "removing the current Ukrainian government -- '[is] not achievable militarily. [It's] not going to be done.'"
ReplyDeleteHe's saying that EVEN IF Russia occupies the whole of Kyiv and installs a new regime, the Ukrainian government will be evacuated and sheltered in the West. They will lead a perpetual resistance and diaspora while the West will not recognize the Russian installed regime and will only recognize Zelensky--or whoever else--who would be relocated to Poland or whatever other country they flee to.
How else can you say with such firm language that such an objective is not achievable militarily?
Alex

Yes
ReplyDeleteThat is right!!
Thank You
We are winning in Afghanistan!!!
Victory is whatever somebody winds up with at the end. You just say its a victory and the other side says its a loss. These are just words. This wasn't said in a congressional hearing, where you could expect more thorough questioning than a schoolyard discussion of who's da bestest.
