Red State: Yellen Commits Grave Error in Show of American Weakness in China
Joe Biden and his team have been a mess when it comes to dealing with the Chinese.
When the Chinese sent a spy balloon over our country, Biden waited until it flew across the whole country including sensitive military installations, and likely sent back information to China, before he got around to shooting it down. Then Biden reacted like it was on us to make up with the Chinese—when they were the ones who were spying on us. It’s the Chinese who owed us an explanation, not the other way around.

And as for US Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen's trip to China. I also noticed no red carpet or welcoming ceremony for her when she arrived in Beijing. It looks like the US State Department's China desk is clueless on what it means to lose face and how to respond to it.

You have to remember that we've spent the last 300 years high-fiving eachother and slapping skin, so we feel a little awkward around people from the old country in this respect.
Including New Jersey and Tampa, apparently.
Instead of belittling a gesture made by an American, you need to learn the cultural meanings and variations of bows in China. A bow, in the American know-nothing view, means " you are top person and I recognize that.? But that is NOT what a bow sometimes and often means in Asia and esp. in China.
For starters, the stupid Russian commenters need to take a composition class.
