Family Forced To Pay To Ship Body Of Marine Killed In Afghanistan To Her Final Resting Spot At Arlington National Cemetery

Sgt. Nicole Gee was one of the 13 Americans killed during the withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021. Her family, not the Pentagon, paid to move her to her final resting place. (Misty Fuoco)

FOX News: Family forced to pay to ship body of Marine killed after Pentagon policy change: 'Egregious injustice'

Nonprofit stepped in to pay $60,000 to move Sgt Nicole Gee's remains to Arlington National Cemetery

A Republican lawmaker is sounding the alarm after being notified that one of the 13 Gold Star families from the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan was forced to pay to move the body of their loved one.

Rep. Cory Mills, R-Fla., who is an Army veteran, told Fox News Digital that during a meeting with the families of the "Fallen 13" last week, he was "enraged to learn that the Department of Defense had placed a heavy financial burden" on the family of Marine Corps Sgt. Nicole L. Gee, who were forced to find funding in the thousands to move her body to its final resting place after her 2021 death in Afghanistan.

The Gee family secured the funding, which came to "a staggering $60,000," to move their loved one's body after a nonprofit organization stepped in to cover the cost, Mills said.

WNU Editor: Sgt. Nicole Gee deserves to be buried at Arlington National Cemetery. Her family should not have been the ones who had to pay to make this happen.

  1. I can't find words.

These people.. are they actually human? Think of all the demonic things they do. Small and large. They should be beyond ashamed. To put the parents through such shame and misery, she died for her country and this is what they get in return?

As if they try to destroy our culture and traditions. Like coordinated. At every level - individual (small) and population level (think covid). They cannot be so misinformed to fuck -everything- up. They destroy our heritage, history, families, social integrity, economy, national security, standing in the world.

To me, personally, they are the equivalent of demons - in human flesh.

  5. What has happened to the USA?

    It is called moral Relativism

Moral relativism is the idea that there is no universal or absolute set of moral principles. It’s a version of morality that advocates “to each her own,” and those who follow it say, “Who am I to judge?”

The break down starts right there.

  7. And Biden with his absurd sign off when he speaks, "And God Bless our troops". It is disgusting. As was his disgusting behavior when the bearers walked the coffins of the dead servicemen off the C-17 in Dover, DE. Kept looking at his watch.

  10. I agree with DoD in this case. DoD would pay 100% (I believe) to ship the hero's body to Arlington for burial. If the family wanted the remains sent locally for a memorial service, and then on to Arlington, that would entail a lot of additional cost. I don't see why an actual body is needed for a memorial service. Hard decisions, but I agree with the government here.

  11. 9:24 AM- Trumps gone since 2020, grow up and get a life. If not seek immediate help for your TDS. FJB ran the Afghan withdrawal, everyone knows it. He changed every other plan Trump had, but had no time for this one. And don't forget the 10 Afghani's Milley nd FJB killed with a a mistaken Done strike. There's blood on your your hands MF.

  12. Read PDF.

This document is a blatant attempt to blame someone else for failure and for piss for planing that took place on thier watch..

To say that the fault for this type of operation lies with someone who the been out of office for months is the worst type of irresponsibility. These ops are planned and executed in a month to 2 months time. With systematic updates, milestones and correction data based on execution Matrix's

You also have to ask, since the debacle was on a international scale why was no one fired, no one forced to resign and no congressional investigation done.

Sorry This was Biden's folly. As Reagan and Truman said The Buck Stops here,.

You did not see Reagan trying to blame anyone else for Lebanon. No, he accepted full responsibility for that debacle.

Uncle Joe needs to Man up.

Of course that will never happen.

  13. 1020

Ok if our government was a practice and frugal entity I would partially agree.

But when these clowns fly around the word on Bullshit junkets and do Fd up studies for worms and pay millions of dollars on contracts to get kick backs.

Then...... in that light..... This case is a complete , absolute disgrace.
