WNU Editor: In the past two days the Western news media narrative is that Ukraine is making significant gains with Russia retreating from three main frontal attacks (see videos above).
The Russian news media narrative is the opposite .... More Western-made Ukrainian tanks destroyed – Moscow (RT). More here .... Russia’s Battlegroup South repels attacks of Ukrainian assault groups in three directions (TASS).
So who is right?
I am not there, but it looks like Ukraine has committed everything in the past few days (including all of its reserves) to break the Russian lines even though there is no air support for their offensive. Ukraine needs a major victory, and they need it in the next few weeks.
On a side note. It is reported that Putin told African leaders last night during a Russia - Africa summit dinner that the Kremlin believes Ukraine has only enough weaponry, ammo, and men to continue the offensive until the end of August. After that the Ukraine army, without more support from the West, will have a problem holding back any Russian counteroffensive should the Kremlin decide to launch one.
Hearing reports the Sardaukar have been sent in ;)
ReplyDeleteWell there you have it, the coalition of the willing (Poland and co) will be heading in at the end of August. Can’t wait for that to happen. 😑
ReplyDeleteMy gut tells me this is false, as my sources tell me this war is nothing but a cover up for our governments to fuck us even more economically.
ReplyDeleteWhat is going to be different about this one compared to the last two? Is this offensive going to coincide with the northern Russian offensive that’s moving the lines 5-10 miles every day? If they can stop the Russian advances AND execute their own successful offensive in the south I think it would represent a stunning victory that would cause the kremlin to rethink its entire strategy. I don’t expect that though.
ReplyDelete5-10 miles aday?! Is false but overall I agree with ev else you said
Deletemy gut and my sources tell me I could use a pizza
ReplyDeleteChechnya 👍🏻
ReplyDeleteThe only steam Ukraine is putting off is from being boiled alive.
ReplyDeleteTragedy part 10. Ukrainians attack again with no artillery or air cover.
ReplyDeleteThe charge of the Light Brigade or The Aussies at Gallipoli..
Insane Death wish.
Well that's one Brigade Gone.
5 or 6 to go.
Does anyone realize that the Russians have whole divisions still in the rear? Not to mention they have not called up their reserve units. It was reported that they moved 100000 north last week. How can that be?
Think about that....they had the ability to move 100000 men around the combat zone and still guard that 600k defensive line.
You got all those guys guarding the defensive lines. Then you still have men in the far east and other areas of Russia.
The Ukrainians......Even at 6 brigades, at 3000 men apiece only equals 18,000 men...
Then what do you have left..old men, untrained kids in the Territorial army?

ReplyDelete"Then they say what things we can talk about – but only if we do not present them in a bad light. For example, Western values. If one is involved in European politics, as I am, then today “Western values” mean three things:
migration, LGBTQ, and war.
My Dear Romanian Friends, these do not need to be presented in a bad light, as they already present themselves in a bad light. And finally, there is one more pearl referring to what must be left out: “xenophobic overtones related to a revisionist approach on migration”. Now this is like communist time........ "
--------
Yes, This is the West's future for the Ukraine. They now have War and LBGTQ. After the war, if zelinski is still there, they EU will want to re-populate the Ukraine like every other country in Europe. ...
Immigration.
Ukraine can become an ethnic divided cesspool like France or Marmal Sweden. And then its cities can burn like France. More future joy for the Ukrainian people.
What a wonderful future to behold...
Death, Perversion and Resentful Hate.
Dude, I live in France and can certify that no city is burning. Just a few cars once or twice a year because some people have too much freedom and are not kept in check by the authorities.
ReplyDeleteNot ideal but way better than living in Russia and getting instantly sent to prison without any rights if you so much as step out of line to voice your discontent with the government.
Also, migration is not a value but a result of Russia destabilising African countries and letting terrorism spread like wildfire, pushing locals to flee to Europe (not Russia, they are not stupid).
My gut tells me I have a fart preparing itself for a war on my undies
ReplyDeleteWNU Editor is likely wrong AGAIN. The Ukrainians have not committed all their reserves. This seems to be limited to 10th corps which means just their first echelon of reserves. They have two more. So the Ukrainians have plenty of fight in them before their offensive culminates.
ReplyDeleteI also like the way WNU Editor speculates again about an upcoming (non-existent) Russian counteroffensive. Wasn't it only the other day that he was crowing about the "first major" Russian attack since the initial war (it was actually their third)? At that time he was proclaiming that the Ukrainian front was collapsing. Today it seems that the entire Russian salient in Luhansk has been pushed back and being easily contained. So it seems like this offensive has been forgotten already as WNU Editor fantasizes about another hidden, unseen and unknown Russian army lurking over the horizon just waiting to pounce! Meanwhile in the real world Shoigu is begging North Korea (!) for ammunition and weapons.
WNU Editor continues to belittle Ukrainian efforts - ignoring that the Ukrainians have liberated more land in two months than Russia was able to gain in twelve months. Yet one is a catastrophe for the attacker while the other was a great accomplishment. No matter what happens, WNU Editor's prognosis is the same - Ukrainian fighting is futile and they should just surrender and give Putin what he wants.
It is true that Ukraine has not made any operationally significant advances, though I think that remains a possibility before the autumn rains. If they can at least take Tokmak, they'll have made an operationally significant advance. If not, it'll just be tactical gains. But they have shown their capabilities are increasing while Russian capabilities are clearly declining. The best Russian units have been debilitated. Ukraine has gained the upper hand in the artillery battle. Russian logistics continue to degrade as its infrastructure is destroyed. And they continue to deny Russian air superiority despite a much smaller air force, and once F-16s enter Ukraine in 2024 any chance of Russia ever establishing air superiority through attrition will vanish. Russia has lost the strategic initiative and there is considerable doubt they will regain it though they may still be able to launch some minor operational offensives.
Russia may still be able to eek out some sort of win by keeping some of its occupied territory by the time the war ends, but they are clearly on the defensive going forward and it is all about how much occupied land they are going to lose.
Personally to me it looks like 2023 is about Ukraine attritting Russian forces and capabilities, but not seizing significant amounts of territory. The real story is not changes in the map, but the amount of damage Russian forces can take and stay maintain combat capability. Decisive actions probably won't happen until summer 2024 when Russian forces will be weakened enough.

This is a wild, almost desperate assessment, of what is going on. The Ukie artillery is still weak and they do not have enough shells. The Ukie air force is non existent and has almost no effect on the current battlefield. If what I am saying is false, then why are the Ukrainians not obliterating the Russian lines before they attack, as they should be doing by military doctrine?
Chis says russian logistics infrastructure continue to degrade. Really? then where are the Russians getting all the ammo to make Ukrainian casualties so high?
Te Russian army has been debilitated? What does that horse shit mean? What pathetic rhetoric.
If the Russians are so debilitated how can. they man a 600K defense line and still conduct an offensive?
How is it possible that the can Russians move 100,000 troops to the north if their logistics suck?
Bottom line>>>> everything Chris just said is seems thru his government issued "go faster" glasses..
They ukies are getting slaughtered again due to their attacking without proper fire support.
They just burned up one Brigade combat team and from reports they just managed to reach the 1st obstacle belt.
Notice the news did not say they "TOOK" the first obstacle belt, but they did REACH it. In doing so they lost at least one of their new brigades.
Look at what Mr Nobody said above.... and do the math.
There are 3 belts. This ukie attack used up one brigade just to reach the line.
So add another brigade destroyed to follow on and break through the line.
So that equals AT LEAST 2 brigades per Defense line. So to break through 3 defense lines you need at least 6 brigades.
Therefore if Mr Nobody is correct, who do you have for an exploitation force?
Thats right , nobody.,
None of your gee wizz NATO equipped /trained people are around because they all got chewed up breaking through the three defensive linesfor you.
But that's right you GS 4s and 5s. you keep putting out you BS arguments to try to hide the truth.
But the agood news is , it is all for not. Because by September the MSM and blob will be forced to admit they were wrong. and then 3:28 's prediction will probably come true.
The west will double down by sending in polish and Lithuanian "volunteers". Because there will be no viable ukie army to fight. Things will break down I mass.
At this time, zelinski will probably flee the country , the New president will declare and emergency and ask NATO for an "extreme emergency help package" to help defend Ukraine in this crisis. In come the Poles and baltic boys.
Bottom line Chris has been a MSM neocon narrative supporter. His conclusions have been constantly wrong and his analysis sucks.
But why should we be surprised? He works for the Government and is not going to tell the truth anyway.
He and the rest of the Western Official media/ propaganda machine are in the "cover your ass mode"
It is obvious that Chris has never served in the military and has no idea what he is talking about or just plan telling lies.
Once again Chris sticks to the facts , and lays off the Russian propaganda. The ukranians artillery are decimating Russian artillery at a verified rate of 4 to 1 .
DeleteYes Tussia still has the advantage, bit this is closing. A says they have plenty of ammo , yet then why go cap in hand to Nth Kore? Why?, be ause storm shadow is playing havoc on ammo dumps.
Oh wait, Russia's has infinite reserves but they lift rhe conscription age.
You always rubbish others commentary but it's hard to recall when you've been right.
Gee Faz, Backing up your five eyes brother?
ReplyDeleteHow nice.
But your \facts are skewed again. Who comes up with this bs of ukie arty being a "verified"4 to one larger than the Russians?
And by the way. even if there were, do they have shells? That arty tube is not very helpful without ammo. Because all reports from the last 3 months says they have been short ammo for thier arty.
You are assuming because the Russians are talking to the NKs that the Russians are out of ammo. That is a non sequitur , by comparing unlike situations, Fazzy.
What are your facts that the Russians are short when the reports from the last 3 months have been there are not and their factories are suppling the forces in large amounts.
No fazzy your statements lack validity, Just like chis and his Hanover minions. But that's ok faz.
'We just take what you say and apply "The Rule" and know everything is A'ok
I guess you've missed all the major Russian ammo dumps going boom as of late . It's OK, we will give you an extension on your 3 day op.
DeleteHere's an update , you don't need to fire as many shells when your artillery is more modern , more accurate, and crews are better trained.
Fazzy That is an outstanding come back.
ReplyDeleteYes fazzy, your storm shadows have hit some ammo dumps, but that does not seem to have slowed the Russians down. To do that you have to hit AMMO plants. That does not seem to have happened to the Russians yet.
But on the other issues you raised.......
So if you are right.. and the Ukrainians have more and BETTER artillery and more ammunition than the Russians
PLEASE EXPLAIN THE FOLLOWING.....because the following facts should NOT be happening.
a. Why are all those Ukrainian soldiers still dying? The majority by indirect fire. How is this possible with weak Russian artillery ( see "d" below)
b Why is it that each time the Ukrainians hit the security zone of the 1st defensive line that they get knocked back? A large part due to artillery fire.
c. If the Ukrainians have so much more and BETTER artillery and ammo to go with it, AND better trained CREWS........why are the Russians still firing more shells at the ukrianinan Army.
d. If the Ukrainians have so much more and BETTER artillery and ammo to go with it, AND better trained CREWS........why has not the Russian artillery been suppressed by counter battery fire , like the Russians are doing to the Ukrainians ?
e. Where the hell did you get the Ukrainian advantage of 4 to 1 in artillery capability. You have NOT EXPLAINED that one yet.
The questions above disprove your statements, Fazzy ,as well as Chris's.
You two are both fakes.
You two have never served a day in the military, have you two? Certainly in the combat arms or Tactical intelligence.
Otherwise you would know that from the daily results of the Combat zone, your statements do not make sense.
You and Chris insist on pulling things out of thin air and sprinkling them with fairy dust.
AND to wrap up.......REPLY FAZZY........ REPLY FAZMAN
Do not coward out on this one, as you have before, when asked hard questions.
AND GIVE DETAILS ON HOW YOU EXPLAIN THE QUESTIONS Above
I did not say 4 to 1 advantage ..l said 4 destroyed for every 1 , Russia still has the advantage numerically.
DeleteBeing in the military means zilch , were you a brigader general?, l think not.
If you van actually read you tend to fire more when you create more craters in fields .
Where did l say they have more ammo , l stated that their counterfire is more accurate so ea shot is more effective (try to keep up).
Got it fazman, and yo are correct! I misread your notes and I apologize for that. I was wrong.
ReplyDeleteBut you seem to imply they also also that have plenty of ammo. I mean, I could have all the tanks in the world, but if I have no ammo for them, what good are they?
Back to the other points I have to say,
I am still waiting for responses to the rest of my questions .
Because you see faaazy, old boy, The situation on the ground makes a no sense if what you say is right.
If the following are true................
A large part due to artillery fire.
c. If the Ukrainians have so much more and BETTER artillery and ammo to go with it, AND better trained CREWS........why are the Russians still firing more shells at the Ukrainian Army. ( I think this question is still valid , but redundant, so you can ignore it for now)
d. If the Ukrainians have so much more and BETTER artillery and ammo to go with it, AND better trained CREWS........why has not the Russian artillery been suppressed by counter battery fire , like the Russians are doing to the Ukrainians ?
........then how are the Russians failing???
have a great day.
