Reuters: Russia attacks Ukraine's vital Danube export route in widening strikes
KYIV (Reuters) -Russia destroyed Ukrainian grain warehouses on the Danube River and wounded seven people in a drone attack on Monday, expanding the target area of an air campaign it launched last week after pulling out of the Black Sea grain deal, Kyiv said.
The attacks last week mostly targeted the sea ports of Odesa but Monday's pre-dawn strikes hit infrastructure along the Danube, an alternative export route that is vital for Kyiv after the demise of the year-old deal allowing safe exports of Ukrainian grain via the Black Sea.
"The Russian terrorists have again attacked the Odesa region overnight. Port infrastructure on the Danube river is the target this time," regional governor Oleh Kiper wrote on the Telegram messaging app.

WNU Editor: The Ukrainian port of Reni is only 200 meters across the river Danube from Romania. This attack has surprised everyone (including me), and it is not being covered properly by the main stream media.
Russia just crossed a NATO "blue line", and what is shocking is that NATO has been completely silent on this attack. The Kremlin is sending a message to Ukraine that Russia can strike any part of Ukraine, and it is sending a message to NATO that border or not, everything is fair game on the Ukraine side of the border.
Update: The Romanian government has finally responded to this Russian attack .... Romania condemns Russia’s attack on port of Reni near the border (Euramaidan).

ReplyDeleteRussia is acting pretty confidently.
ReplyDeleteVery dramatic WNU! Feeling your oats?
ReplyDeleteIf Russian can strike Lviv on the west side of Ukraine, it is no surprise they can attack the port of Reni.
In fact I believe that Lviv has better defenses than Reni, so an attack on Reni is shocking?
Maybe Russia has failed to attack Reni until now, because Putin was all puckered up. The CEP on some of its missile is greater than 200 meters, so Russia could very easily cross a blue line and accidently enter into a world war.
Ammo for the Kherson front can't come in from the Odessa grain corridor anymore so the ships are offloading further back at smaller ports on the river.
ReplyDeletesounds plausible
DeleteMr Nobody says Southern front is next move. If he is right, this might just be a test fire to see how the ukies react and what type of defences are in the area. Kind of like an advanced recon.
ReplyDeleteI warned Moldova and Romania is communist population, soon politicians will have to hand power to the people
