Russia - Ukraine War News Morning News Updates -- August 25, 2023 (Videos)
WNU Editor: A lot of interesting updates this morning.
WNU is praying it is the final phase or he may never get another woody again.
The Ukes at Littleboy like to disparagingly call them are south of Robotyne
From Il'chenkove to Tokmak city center is 20.8 kilometers and that is not with a straight line but with a j hook added in. The breach will be widened and after Russian artillery is attrited the railroad will be demolished.
Polohy is going to fall. So that breach in the 1st line will be really, really wide.
Russians are very efficient at repairing rail line. But rail bridges are going to be blown up. Train engines will be hit. Much harder to remove an engine blocking a line than a rail car.
The Chongar pontoon bridge and the Kerch bridge? They will be hit again and probably simultaneously. Will Russia take out some missiles? Yes. But they will have to replace the S-400 they lost in Crimea first. So food, bullets, artillery ammo, gas ... that all is going to be a problem in Kherson and Zaporizhia Oblasts.
Looking at the scatterplot of Ukrainian naval drone strikes, the only safe place for the Russian navy would be Georgian waters.
I treat this segment of the WNU blogposts like I do the Simon Black Man of Mystery posts at Zerohedge. I treat it with ridicule and disgust.
It does not bother me that the founder of Zerohedge is the son of a Bulgarian intel officer. No what bothered me was Simo Black (wanted for fraud in Singapore) and the endless Strategic Culture Foundation articles. If English is your second language, Strategic Culture Foundation might sound cool. It is not. The name is just the beginning of the problems.
Inviting General Flynn and the Green Party candidate to dinner is cool. Bribing Bill Clinton and Joe Biden is not. The Kremlin spent more effort on the latter than the former and look what it has got them?
A broken down, hack pol who won't stay bought and is a stalking horse for others in Washington, who lose little if their policies fail.
Here. I am going to ask you the same questions I asked fazzy on a different thread. Because right now, what you say, I do not see it.
Ok fazzy, we will see. But I doubt it. ( Equipment being repaired and getting back to the front in sufficient numbers)
That stuff has to be sent back and repaired with western parts. That is one of the "superior " qualities of the old Soviet/Russian equipment. Though not sophisticated, it could take a punch and was a lot easier to get up and rolling.
Also like many people here like to hammer home...You need trained crews. Where are they going to get trained crews to man western Bradleys , Marders or Leopards? The Bradley, for one, is not an easy machine to learn.
A good brad crew operates on muscle memory. The guys in those IFVs will not be very effective.
But go ahead, Fazzman, be an optimist all you want.
But I think McGregor is right, this might be the Ukrainian last hurrah. With all the graveyards full, where are they going to get the manpower from?

AnonymousAugust 25, 2023 at 7:05 PM Oh by the way Fazzman, you did not answer this one.....
Who will do the exploration operation, if THE LAST RESERVE UNITs have been deployed??? Not only that.
WHO will take out the 2nd and 3rd defense lines since the LAST RESERVE has been deployed?
Where is this so called Momentum going to come from.?? Please do tell.
Critical thinking...the above questions needs to be asked.
