New Report Says Russia Is Helping North Korea In The Development Of Its ICBM Program

NBC: North Korean missile capable of striking the U.S. most likely a result of cooperation with Russia, think tank says

The missile’s dimensions and its flight trajectory data appear “nearly identical” to those of Russia’s Topol-M ICBM, says the report from the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

WASHINGTON — North Korea’s successful test launch on July 12 of a nuclear-capable intercontinental ballistic missile equipped to penetrate U.S. missile defenses is most likely the result of technical cooperation sourced to Russia, according to a new think tank report first obtained by NBC News.

The Hwasong-18 missile’s physical dimensions and its flight trajectory data appear “nearly identical” to those at of Russia’s Topol-M ICBM, says the report, authored by Theodore A. Postol, a professor emeritus of science, technology and national security policy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The report was written for Beyond Parallel, a project sponsored by the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a defense think tank.

WNU Editor: If reports that Russia is aiding North Korea's ICBM program are true, and I believe they are, this signals a major policy shift from the Kremlin. And what is that policy shift. That policy shift is Russia "horizontally" escalating its conflict against the U.S..

I also do not expect Russia is going to stop there. The Kremlin can cause a lot of headaches to Washington, and the list of what they can do is long (i.e. Syria, Africa, Cuba, etc.).

This has been my biggest fear since the beginning of the Ukraine war (aside from nuclear war), and to say that this is depressing to see is an understatement. But what is also troubling is the complete lack of any coverage or analysis from Western pundits and the media on this development.

The Center for Strategic and International Studies report is here .... The Transfer of a Russian ICBM to North Korea?

Update: My sources in China tell me that Beijing has signed off on this Kremlin transfer of ICBM tech and know-how to North Korea.

  1. For all intents and purposes, North Korea already has ICBMs. The main problem I think is quality control.

The Russians assistance will make a difference in part with timing.

This is nothing new. North Korea has always been a creation of Russia and China. It has always received aid from them, sometimes more and sometimes less. Russian leaders are merely continuing their shithead ways.

  4. As time goes on, the effects of the USA short-sighted attacks via proxy on Russia are going to become more and more apparent until the day comes where the USA will wish they could take everything back.

So they guy who started no new wars is being arrested - at least in the wet dreams of the Marxists who together with oligarchs are taking over the Democrat party (which is by the way a private corporation, nothing democratic about it but the name.. just like in the DDR, the so called "Democratic Republic", which was nothing but democratic).

Anyways, guys -- since the coup your country and my country are going to shit. what do we do? They take political prisoners, distort our history, destroy our culture, economy and military, and they are in charge because we all believed the telly :D

They literally told us they would take over our institutions - now that they have, and we are at war with almost everyone while our banks have been plundered, what do we do? let them get away with it? While AI is looming at the horizon? They might be in charge for a looong time

  7. This whole Ukraine adventure is going to backfire on us in so many ways. The short sightedness of the religiously woke left will leave the west in ruins. China is now producing microchips and Saudi Arabia and Russia are manipulating oil prices. The world is adapting and learning to live without us.

  9. Maybe Poland also needs a bit of ICBM "help" from somebody ;) And the Baltic States. And Finland. And Germany. And India. And South Korea. And Japan.

And Taiwan? (a bit trickier, but possibly doable)

    1:58 good food for thought

    1. This whole conflict would have been resolved last April had it not been for Boris Johnson and the collective west torpedoing the negotiations in Turkey. How’s that for some food for thought.

Why do you leave out Abdul Qadeer Khan?

"The innovation and improved designs of centrifuges were marked as classified for export restriction by the Pakistan government, though Khan was still in possession of earlier designs of centrifuges from when he worked for URENCO in the 1970s.[34]: 156–158  In 1990, the United States alleged that highly sensitive information was being exported to North Korea in exchange for rocket engines. Pakistan's Ghauri missile was based entirely on North Korea's Rodong-1 as reflected in its technology. The project was supported by Benazir Bhutto who consulted for the project with North Korea and facilitated the technology transfer to Khan Research Laboratories in 1993"

But keep lying by omission. It is what you do best.
