The Hill: Musk offers aid organizations in Gaza access to Starlink
Tech billionaire Elon Musk offered the use of his Starlink satellite internet service on Saturday for humanitarian aid organizations in Gaza, as the war between Israel and Palestinian militant group Hamas continues.
The Gaza Strip, which is controlled Hamas, has been without internet and telephone communication amid escalating airstrikes and a ground campaign by the Israeli military. This has left civilians unable to call for help and aid organizations unable to communicate.

ReplyDeleteI get it, you want innocent civilians to get help. Guess what, EVERYONE wants that, including Israelis like me.
But they are human shields that Hamas WANTS to die. Nothing more, nothing less to them. The leaders of Hamas will burn in hell for the situation they’ve forced upon the Gazans
Giving Hamas internet connection is the absolute worst thing that could happen to Palestinian civilians. Instead, the entire world should be working together to dismember this terrorist organization.
Every day Hamas is in charge of Gaza is a day Palestinian civilians die for no fault of their own. But Israel’s hands are tied and you would do 100% the same thing to protect your own kids from ISIS if they were at your borders and shooting missiles at you.
You're in deep
DeleteMaybe it is the right thing to do for Musk. The Federal government is gunning for him, so he does not need more enemies. Who is more likely to kill him, Hamas or Israel? He gets a lot of good free press and a lot of cover from academia.
ReplyDeletePalestinian groups have bene on college campuses since at least the 1970s. That is over half century of entrenchment.
Most of y'all paid no attention if you went to college, which is both good and bad. It is good form the standpoint you got your degree and went on to be productive citizens. It is bad because this shit has been building up this whole time.
The film PCU while a comedy is dead on accurate.
Whether you are for this or against it, it is irrelevant: net connection was restored earlier today without Musk's thing.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the update
DeleteI don't understand Israel people commenting that Musk is doing the wrong thing. He is just helping poor people, poor people as it has been said are nothing more that human shields for Hamas.
ReplyDeleteBut one thing has not been said: Israel doesn't care at all to kill innocent civilians. It's happening from decased, and is also the reason why there's so much hatred among Palestinians. The more hate is spread among Palestinians the more Hamas will get strong, something that is happening before our very eyes. We should blame Netanyahu for this mess: many allies and other countries sent many warnings in the last few years, but he always ignored them. Now, look around you...
Really?, they provide and pay for infrastructure, operations, work permits etc. When they attack they drop noise makers, send texts , do ph calls...
DeleteThe only people with charged devices will be Hamas. Israel should probably start jamming the frequencies starling operates on.
ReplyDeleteYeah I totally understand why Elon would want to help, but as clauswitz said: "the biggest mistakes arise out of kindness".
ReplyDeleteSmart Move Elon well done .
ReplyDeleteIt's a humanitarian thing to do. I'm sure it's going to be a small number.
