Sen. Tommy Tuberville
CNN: Tuberville says he will keep blocking military promotions despite Israel’s war
Republican Sen. Tommy Tuberville, who has held up military promotions for nine months, slammed a proposal being floated to change the chamber’s rules to allow a vote on many of the nominations en masse and attacked the White House and Senate Democrats for not negotiating with him.
“It’s typical of this place. This administration would rather burn the Senate down and that’s what would happen. … If you change the rules of the Senate then it lasts forever,” Tuberville told CNN’s Manu Raju. “So they would rather burn down the Senate than negotiate.”

Good for him! The American people love Tommy Tuberville. The American people have lost faith with their "woke" military, led by gayboys, women and transvestites.
ReplyDeleteI'm from South America and I say one thing the people themselves don't because we have Texas, Georgia and so many other regions that are extremely out of touch with militarism
DeleteAt least one individual stands on principle.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree with him. Most if not all of these promotions are for unqualified officers who could not walk a dog without instructions from a democrat talking point. All are failed leaders considering the last war we fought and won was Desert Storm 1.
ReplyDeleteObama kicked out all the warfighter leaders. We are left with officers who support gay rights, trannie soldiers, CRT, DEI, BLM and god knows what else. That is all what is left after Commie supporter and America hater Obama purged the military. Our military is in dire straits, and if we fight a real war we will be in serious trouble.

ReplyDeleteI remember when Patsy Schroeder held up promotions, because some female pilot consented to getting her legs shaved.
LAS VEGAS HOTEL ALLEGES COUGHLIN HAD LEGS SHAVED DURING TAILHOOK
It is okay for Democrats but not Republicans.
I remember the TV crews on base.
May Schroeder rot in Hell!
nonsense: compare to tommy lad!!

FACT SHEET
ISSUE: Senate Holds on Military Promotions
PREPARED BY: SASC Majority Staff
DATE: September 12, 2023
For seven months, the senior senator from Alabama has blocked the promotions of all general
and flag officer promotions pending on the Senate floor. The senator placed this hold on account
of his disagreement with a Department of Defense (DOD) policy that provides leave and travel
authorities for military servicemembers and their families who must travel to seek non-covered
reproductive healthcare, including abortion care, in vitro fertilization (IVF) services, and others.
As of September 12, 2023 the senator is blocking 273 individual promotions. This number does
not account for the hundreds of military spouses and children who cannot move to new duty
stations, enroll in new schools, and seek new jobs, nor does it account for the millions of
servicemembers who are now serving without Senate-confirmed leaders and commanders.
The following fact sheet provides details on the impacts of these holds, as well as fact checks on
certain recurring claims by the Senator from Alabama.

how many promotions did she hold up? fort how long?
in sum: your comment is fully wrong and national security is at stake here.
Gen. Charles Q. Brown, Jr. promoted by Biden because of his skin color. Sickening what Democraps have done to the armed forces.
ReplyDeleteyou know, right? tell us how you know the shape of our military at the present time? you work in Pentagon? ah, read Newsmax and that is how you knowl

ReplyDeleteYou are kidding right?
in sum: your comment is fully wrong and national security is at stake here.
this is a bullshit excuse. national security is not at stake. If the military apparatus cannot operate competently because aprox 270 individuals did not get promoted right away, then it is in really sad shape.
There are people in those positions right now and things have not changed in this situation. This is all smoke and mirrors.
Tubberville is a idiot.🤪
ReplyDeleteAnyone that states national security is at stake doesn’t understand how the Mil is structured. Additionally, there is no ‘hold’ just a requirement to vote on the appointments individually.
ReplyDeleteThe Senate leaders state there isn’t time but recall this is an organization that works less than 6 months a year.
As for the families. You are discussing folks that make over $15K/mo. and receive a $40K in tax free housing allowance every year. They’re fine.
