EruAsian Times: French Rafales ‘Trounce’ Eurofighters As Germany Blocks Sale Of Typhoon Jets To Saudi Arabia – Reports

Germany loosened export restrictions against Saudi Arabia earlier this year. Still, it refused to allow the sale of the 4.5th generation Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jet to the kingdom, despite the UK government’s intense lobbying. Berlin’s refusal, unfortunately, poses a significant challenge to Britain’s production lines.

The United Kingdom is likely to see a loss of 6,000 jobs in the defense sector and no manufacturing of fighter jets for a decade in the face of Germany’s unwillingness to green-light the sale of Eurofighter Typhoon jets to the Royal Saudi Air Force, British newspaper The Sun reported.

Berlin is blocking a multibillion-dollar agreement to sell 48 Typhoons to Saudi Arabia, and ministers have threatened to “close” BAE production lines if the contract is refused. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz clarified in July this year that Germany will not deliver Eurofighter combat aircraft to Saudi Arabia soon.

  1. The world is going to arm up. The world is going to fight.

The only question is are their enough weapons now, producu9tn for the future and who are your allies.

Pissing off Saudi Arabia is not going to make them a good ally or perhaps an ally at all.

Counting on a Ethiopia/Somalia debacle like the Russians had in the late 1970s/early 1980s is not a good strategy. It failed that time, but it could work this time.

In Germany the Greens are shit. The SPD is shit. A number of CDU are shit also. They need to get their heads out of their asses.

If Germany would have credible military along with some other NATO countries, people would not be gearing up and preparing to go to war. Lack of deterrence gets real expensive. More expensive than being prepared.

  3. This is the US putting pressure on Germany to kill this deal, so that the Saudi's have to choose: Either they stick with the West and Israel, and get our planes, OR.. they can have Chinese planes which are copies of Russian planes, as you posted here.

Saudis will get their planes, but first they gotta nod off on the Israel issue.

At least that's what the internet says, and you know, the internet is mostly ..wrong :D

  4. The Saudis would not have to nod off on anything if the O'Biden goofs had not linked a comprehensive intergalactic peace to bilateral Israeli-Saudi relations.

If Biden, Obama and Blinked had gotten the deal doe in the 1st year. The Saudis would have had 2 years to sell it to the Saudi people before Hamas lit a fuse.

So there would literally be no need to play the games Blink, Scholz and the others are playing.

If the Abraham accord got signed, there would be propaganda in the press and at the mosque. People who were noisily against it would be re-educated if they are lucky and sent to the Empty Quarter if they were not.

If there was a consensus after 2 years in society, it would be harder for trouble makers to get tractions.

But again Blink Obama and their puppet had to link comprehensive world peace to a bilateral agreement. It is always everything I want or no deal with Democraps

It might be one big taqiyya by MBS, if he signed those accords. Israel is willing to take that risk. Israel took the risk of pulling out of Gaza. The day they finished was the day they were shelled by the Palestinians.

  6. So Germany's reason for the stop is the rapprochement agreement between SA and Iran? Seems they doth protest too loudly since Germany has imported a massive number of Muslims hostel to their society. Smells like arse.

/Looks like Fance will benefit with the sale of their Rafales now to SA.

  7. /and the Germans do not call their Eurofighters "Typhoons". Deutschland had all they could take from a British fighter called a Typhoon circa WW2.
