Reuters: Pro-Palestinian crowds try to storm air base housing U.S. troops in Turkey
ADANA, Turkey (Reuters) - Turkish police used tear gas and water cannon as hundreds of people at a pro-Palestinian rally on Sunday tried to storm an air base that houses U.S. troops, hours before U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken was due in Ankara for talks on Gaza.
Turkey, which has stepped up its criticism of Israel as the humanitarian crisis in Gaza has worsened, supports a two-state solution while hosting members of the Palestinian militant group Hamas. Since the Israel-Hamas war started, protests have erupted across the country.
Earlier this week, the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, an Islamist Turkish aid agency, organised a convoy to travel to the Incirlik air base in the Adana province in southern Turkey to protest Israeli attacks on Gaza and U.S. support for Israel.

Hamas's mass infiltration and massacre of Israelis on October 7 was originally intended to take place during last Passover's Seder meal, Israeli journalist Ben Caspit reported on Sunday evening.
As per the report, Iran decided to delay the organized assault on civilians to Simchat Torah due to reasons that are unclear. However, Caspit speculated, it could have been delayed due to informal negotiations with the United States which led to $6 billion being freed up for Iran in September.
The report noted that the information was uncovered during the interrogation of Hamas terrorists who participated in the October 7 massacre.

ReplyDeleteHaha yeah and they look more civilized and peaceful than the left-wing fanatics and democrats.. remember when BLM was destroying major US city blocks and put everything on fire? 35+ dead thanks to the terror from the left
Yes, you are right - these protestors ARE MORE CIVILIZED than the left in the US, it is incredible to watch
These are apparently a regular occurrence. In the old days an entire Security force battalion would have been deployed to Incirclik, especially since for whatever reason we STILL keep nukes there, hostage to Erdogan.
ReplyDeleteBiden and Blinked probably deployed unarmed security from Allied Universal as a "show of force."
