Kyiv Post: Zelensky’s Office Issues Warning After Zaluzhny’s ‘Stalemate’ Interview

President Zelensky's deputy chief-of-staff suggested that military officials should perhaps keep quiet about the situation on the front lines, lest they give the Russians an advantage.

Ihor Zhovkva, Deputy Head of the President's Office, has advised military officials against publicly disclosing sensitive information about the situation at the front lines.

Zhovkva's comments came in response to an interview with Valery Zaluzhny, the Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, for The Economist. The interview also contained a link to a lengthy essay by Zaluzhny replete with military assessments.

The deputy chief-of-staff suggested that by making comments "we make it easier for the aggressor to work."

WNU Editor: There is a lot of doom and gloom coming from my contacts/friends/and family members in Ukraine right now. I am not surprised to see this pessimistic mood now in the upper echelons of the Ukraine government.

  1. This is a zelinski problem. It is not that the general remarks "will help the enemy"

The enemy and the Ukrainian allies already know all this, the general is just stating the blatantly obvious.

But what z man fears is for his own hide.

If the west pulls out , then zekinskis little ponzie scheme falls apart and his money source ends and therefore his life as he knows it.

He also fears that since the war has not been a success, quite the opposite, it has been a failure, who will get the blame??

    It will be zelinski.

The troops already hate zman. and so do a lot of every day Ukrainians.

'But he just keeps doing stupid things like ordering offensives that go no where, instead of putting in deliberate defenses.

This criticism of the general is all about zelinski. It is political, Zman may be looking at a coup soon.

  4. Looks like our modern Churchill is going to get a lesson in western style fascism. For some reason the image of Darth Vader choking out his less than satisfactory generals comes to mind.

  5. In that photo, Zelensky has some decent sized forearms. He must be lifting weights.
