CNBC: Ukraine’s top military leader says war is at a stalemate and a ‘beautiful breakthrough’ is unlikely
Ukraine’s commander-in-chief has conceded that there have been few gains in Ukraine’s five-month long counteroffensive to retake Russian-occupied territory.
Likening the current state of conflict to World War I, in which battles were often fought over a few miles of territory at the expense of huge numbers of men, Ukraine’s General Valery Zaluzhny said the war had reached an impasse.
“There will most likely be no deep and beautiful breakthrough,” he told The Economist magazine in an interview published Thursday.

WNU Editor: Ukraine’s General Valery Zaluzhny is admitting the obvious. If you are in a war of attrition against a foe with more manpower and resources, and it is a stalemate, you are at a disadvantage.

It is not a given that Russia has more resources. The answer is it depends.
ReplyDeleteAbout manpower, it appears that Ukraine is outkilling Russia. That said is it by enough. In Avdiivka I see Russia potentially repeating Bakhmut. If give it 10% to 20% chance. If it happens I will blame congress and Resident Biden.
The fighter jets should have been coming a long time ago, same for ATACMS. Congress should have pushed for it, but more so Biden should have requested it.
But we all know who is behind Biden. It is Obama and can you name one fistfight he was ever in? He did dump on a girl in high school whenever one else was dogpiling her. So I guess you can say he is brave and has a killer spirit!
In Avdiivka 40% to 70% of the attacking force is being wiped out with every wave.
WNU is quite the humanitarian. He approves of these human wave attacks.
You are nuts and lying again.
ReplyDeleteRussia has always had more resources than Ukraine. You live in an epic fantasy world if you believe other wise.
The Ukrainian economy is an old, dying, gas bag on life support. Every salary and even the Gov pensions are paid by foreign asssitance,
You are starting with the bullshit human wave attack propaganda again. Yes, I bet they were using shovels as weapons too HAHAHAHA
You are an idiot.
