Euractiv: Germany wrestles with calls to ban AfD – again
Revelations that members of Germany’s far-right AfD party secretly met with extremist neo-Nazis and businessmen in a hotel in November have sparked fresh calls for the party to be thrown out of parliament at a time it is polling higher than any of the governing parties at 22%.
The revelation was published by independent and investigative not-for-profit newsroom Correctiv, which cites a secretive meeting attended by high-ranking politicians from the AfD, neo-Nazis and influential businessmen in a hotel near Potsdam at the end of November.
But while the revelation has rattled the German political scene, with high level politicians expressing favour for the ban, the Federal Government appears to be treading lightly.

ReplyDeleteI would not have believed this 10 years ago, but I think AFD will win a lot of new votes
ReplyDeleteThat's what happens when you consistently act against the interests of the common citizen.
ReplyDeleteGerman elites abandoned Thier own people and the people see it,and respond accordingly.
They did the same thing just after the 1st WW.
It was called the Weimar republic. See how well that turned out.
Yayyyyy, the Nazis are back! What could go wrong?
ReplyDeleteWhy would neo-NAZIs and businessmen be in the same room?
ReplyDeleteWhich business men? Which NAZIs?
I have concerns with neo-NAZIs, since the spouse is rather non-European.
But I am not as concerned as the Left pretends to be. Since the Obama years, I think it is a strategy to not only refuse to do the job (like enforce borders to bring a Cloward and Piven strategy to fruition *break the system and also build up their client base (Roman) /voting base), but also by doing so to drive your opponents nuts.
Not only drive your opponents nuts but not enforcing borders, but also by defunding them. We have seen the de-monetizing of and thing right of the Left on social media. It has been going on for longer than that. Leftists continually tried to defund the Rush Limbaugh program. They failed. Although they failed does not mean it was not a serious problem.
They are pushing them into the extremist camp due to lack of funds or by not doing their job.
Not doing their job means more than 1 million+ refugees coming in, It means higher crime rates. Higher tax rates and more crime against women. There were a 1,000 assaults against women in one night in Koln. But the SPD, Merkel and the other rats pretend to care.
That is one way to increase their popularity. Germans never learn.
ReplyDeleteGermans are swishing around a big mouthful of Weimerica and they don't like the taste a second time.
ReplyDeleteWait, is that headline out of a German newspaper in 1938 or is that a contemporary news headline?
ReplyDeleteThe German government is using a tactics from the unDemocratic party's play book. Ban the popular political opposition. Once the globalists have destroyed democracy in the west, the only way forward for political change will be through the barrel of a gun. Hence the millions of military aged foreigner's swamping the west. Could the globalists recruit them for a militia, police force to subdue the people?
