U.S. Navy seizes Iranian missile components, warheads bound for Houthi rebels
The U.S. Navy on Tuesday announced what's considered the first seizure of Iranian weapons bound for Yemen since Houthi rebels began their campaign of attacks against international merchant shipping in the Red Sea two months ago – yet the two Navy SEALs lost at sea during the mission carried out last week still remain missing amid search and rescue efforts.
On Jan. 11, 2024, while conducting a flag verification, U.S. CENTCOM Navy forces "conducted a night-time seizure of a dhow conducting illegal transport of advanced lethal aid from Iran to resupply Houthi forces in Yemen as part of the Houthis’ ongoing campaign of attacks against international merchant shipping," U.S. Central Command said in a statement Tuesday.

Yeah. That's not much of a haul to lose 2 seals for.
ReplyDeleteHard for me to say as a non-expert, but some of those components could have been much-desired by the ‘Houthis.’
DeleteHopefully the seals will indeed be found, as the water is warm….then again, they must be equipped with beacons….or not?
How would seals die boarding a dhow built like that of that size?
ReplyDeleteA wave bashes their head against the hull? Props? Gunfire. People in Virginia beach and Coronado know. We don't. The prez, cancer boy, the AP and others will not tell us.
If the Seals were shot, people will want blood. Then Cancer boy and the puppet cannot determine the ops tempo or be lackluster in their prosecution of hostilities. If the casualties were due to sea state, well that is mother nature and Cancer boy and the cardboard cutout can occasionally plink at the Houthis whenever polls dictate.
