During the attack on the oil depot in St. Petersburg that happened tonight, one of the drones flew over the residence of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in Valdai, according to the source in the special services.
Earlier sources reported that the drone attack on the oil depot in the Leningrad region was a special operation of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU).
In particular, one of the drones flew over Valdai, where the estate of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is located. In particular, this residence and the surrounding area are covered by air defense systems.

ReplyDeleteIt's honestly surprising they didn't. That's exactly the kind of low hanging fruit that the Ukrainian superfans lust for. Given the choice between knocking out Russia's main tank factory or the Kerch Bridge, you just know they're picking the bridge 10 times out of 10.

DeleteYou've pretty much nailed it in my considered opinion. If the residence wasn't targeted it wasn't for lack of effort. Ukraine would do anything to do this even at the expense of sound strategy. This applies to apply to the US leadership class as well.
As is the case of child like people who are in adult bodies, they tend to act impulsively and make decisions based upon ideology rather than careful analysis and using sound judgment. Depending upon which studies we consult Vladimir Putin is either the most powerful or second most powerful person in the world. He controls the largest and likely most advanced nuclear arsenal in the world. As such, I would lean very heavily in the direction of Putin being the most powerful person in the world.
Assuming he's taken out this creates a massive power vacum. Who replaces him? What happens to Russia's nuclear arsenal? I could go on. It doesn't appear as though our leadership class has thought throught through any of this.
At this point, the best hope appears to be for Trunp to return as POTUS. While he has flaws, he's stable and rational as well as respected by Rissian and Chinese leadership. This represents a reasonable starting point to resolving this situation.

Uhhh I’ve followed WNU for a long time. Years. I can’t think of single time he’s gone this long without posting. Especially without giving us some type of reasoning for the absence.
