Syria: Free Army Rebels Issue 48-Hour Deadline For Bashar al-Assad To Stop Violence -- The Telegraph

The United Nations peace plan for Syria is on the verge of officially collapsing after the Free Syrian Army gave Bashar al-Assad’s regime until noon on Friday to end violence.

Syrian rebels gave President Bashar al-Assad a 48-hour deadline to abide by the international peace plan to end violence or face violent consequences, a rebel spokesman said.

Colonel Qassim Saadeddine said in a statement posted on YouTube:

"We announce that there is no justification to continue respecting the truce from one side.

"The Annan plan arrived in Syria and al-Assad buried it in front of the world by committing massacres in Houla, Homs and Hama, Allepo, Deraa and Deir al Zour, Damascus, Idlib and Tartous and Latakia.
