My Comment: When I lived in China in 1988, the Chinese soldiers that I always saw were dressed poorly, sandals instead of boots, and their trucks were from a bygone era. When I was in China last year .... what I saw was a completely different picture and story. Modern uniforms. Modern trucks. In short .... everything was new and modern.

At these trends one can only ponder what the Chinese military will look like in 10, 20, 25 years .... and walk away being very concerned.
