Recriminations Fly in South Korea After Backing Off Japan Military Deal -- Wall Street Journal

One sign that President Lee Myung-bak is near the end of his term: his ministries have broken down into acrimony and finger-pointing over Friday’s last-minute backoff from signing a military agreement with Japan.

The decision not to sign a pact that does little more than provide legal clearance for the Japanese and South Korean militaries to communicate with each other was embarrassing and preventable.
