Time-lapse video shows the moment 408 hot air balloons took off at once, breaking the world record.
Filling the sky with a bouquet of colour, the video shows hundreds of balloons launching to the skies during a new world record attempt.
The 408 balloons took off from a former Nato base in Chambley, France, breaking a world record that was only set days before, at the same festival, when 343 balloons floated skyward in unison.
The balloonists come from around the world to take part in the annual Lorraine Mondial international hot air balloon festival, which has been taking place at the Chambley-Bussieres Aerodrome in Meurthe-et-Moselle since 1989.
