Two Different Responses To The Crisis In Ukraine: Russia Sends In The Troops While The U.S. State Department Sends A Selfie


Russia Sends Troops, Obama Administration Sends A Selfie -- New York Post

Russian leader Vladmir Putin sent in troops and tanks to invade neighboring Ukraine and the Obama administration is coming to the rescue with . . . selfies!

State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki was mocked Thursday after posting a photo of herself on Twitter holding a sign that read #United­For­Ukraine @State­Dept­Spox.”

Psaki, who has worked closely with President Obama since his 2008 campaign and is the chief communications adviser to Secretary of State John Kerry, is smiling and giving a thumbs-up in the photo.

My Comment: This "selfie" is actually getting a lot of play in Russia/Ukraine .... but not for the reasons that US State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki was hoping for. The image that is having a lot of play is the one that is being published by The New York Post. Whoever said that a picture says a thousand words was 100% correct right on this one.
