(Reuters) - President Barack Obama said on Saturday the United States did not use its military might to "impose things" on others, but that it would use that might if necessary to defend South Korea from any attack by the reclusive North.

The North warned last month it would not rule out a "new form" of atomic test after the U.N. Security Council condemned Pyongyang's launch of a mid-range ballistic missile into the sea east of the Korean peninsula.

Obama and South Korean President Park Geun-hye presented a united front against North Korea at a joint news conference following their summit on Friday, warning that they would respond firmly to any "provocations" by Pyongyang which routinely threatens the United States and South Korea with destruction.

If America has "military might" it is in no way Obamas doing. The social club they call the U.S. Army cannot win a real fight against a modern Army. All initiative is being bled out as a diverse force will look for the strong man to lead them. Look at the faces in the photo, the Chinese will wreck these kids. Alex

That's exactly how the Germans and Japan saw the US in WWII just because the US did not got involved in the war and punished Japan with sanctions instead of using their forces, after Japan provoked the US we all know what happened after.. No because the US has been showing signs of weakness doesn't mean they won't win a conventional war with any other country. And if History has teach us something about the US is that once they decided to go to war they will try to win it even if they know they can't (Vietnam, Iraq).
