Falklands On High Alert

Falklands Mark 30th Anniversary Of War As Argentina Ups Claims For Sovereignty -- The Guardian

Express: Falklands on HIGH ALERT: Hundreds of British troops sent to Islands to boost security

THREE hundred extra troops are to be sent to the Falklands as the islands reach their highest state of alert in almost 20 years.

WNU Editor: It is the 250th anniversary of British rule on the Falklands .... and with an unstable Argentina next door .... I guess no one in London wants to take any chances.

It's Military Theater. In Britain, the Falklands War was the last " good" war, and with McDonalds jobs more popular than National Service, and budget cuts,

The collapse of the Argentine Airforce and Navy,

It's just a PR move to try to boost popular opinion of the UK Military.

It definitely is a PR move to satisfy the base who are no longer satisfied with Cameron. As for the Argentine military .... yup .... it is also just a shadow of what it was in the early 1980s who are now having hopes that maybe ... just maybe .... the Russians will give them a few jets.
