That ISIS's upper levels of operational military command and political is inhabited by large numbers of Iraqi Baathists is (something I've long suspected) starting to be seen in public. This begs the question of which is the dominant driving force, religious (Pan Islamic Caliphate) or secular Iraqi/Syrio political ideology? The two could easily use each other in furthering their separate goals, but in the long run they are incompatible. The answer to above question would go a long way forward in dealing with these things.
ReplyDeleteWNU,
ReplyDeleteIt's 62 here and you know what that means, 10:00 tee time!
James .... I missed your comment this morning because I was basically hauling wood into the chalet because they were predicting -24c (-10F) for the high today.
ReplyDelete-11F vs. 62F .... I am clearly living in the wrong place.
It's ok WNU, if you chop your own wood you're twice warmed. Golf was a mixed bag. With as much tomahawking I did with my wedges you'd thought an Comanche war party had raided the back nine. But a nine iron from 164 to 3ft (1 metre for you Celsius people) from the hole did wonders for my attitude. As for those traitorous bastards the wedges, an inquiry will launched forthwith!
