Should The U.S. Send Weapons To Ukraine?

YouTube

Rachel Ansley, RCD/The Atlantic Council: Should the United States Arm Ukraine?

While analysts agree that diplomacy is the ideal route to ending the conflict in eastern Ukraine, they disagree on whether the United States sending defensive weapons to Ukraine will achieve that end.

On September 22, the Atlantic Council, in collaboration with the Charles Koch Institute, hosted a debate between experts: Should the United States Arm Ukraine?

The divisive prospect of sending US weapons to Ukraine as further defense against Russian aggression in the Donbas could, according to those in favor, defend US interests on the world stage. Alternatively, countered those opposed to the idea, it could escalate the conflict in a manner detrimental to US national security.

WNU Editor: Ukraine is already receiving weapons and supplies from other NATO states .... and as for the U.S., there are already U.S. military advisers in the country, upping this involvement by sending weapons would only escalate tensions and the war. I have said this more than once .... sending weapons to a country where a good portion of the population feel repressed and under assault is never going to insure peace or stability. In the case of Ukraine .... Russian Ukrainians definitely do feel under assault, and measure like this one are only fueling this separatist desire .... Ukraine's New Education Law Bans All Languages But Ukrainian (September 27, 2017). A political solution that respects cultural and linguistic regional rights is the pathway that should be encouraged .... unfortunately .... that is not happening in Ukraine.

When has US policy ever been about ensuring peace and stability?

Bob I see your point, however, let's not forget who attacked who. It was Russia who attacked Ukraine, right? And it was Russian separatists who shot down the civilian airliner with hundreds of people on board, right?
So again, I do see and respect your point. The US is involved everywhere in the world, so to speak, and has bases around the world - for a fact - but honestly while it's fun to engage in these conspiracy style attacks, the truth is often this: Americans are good people who really do want to and do help a lot of nations around the world. But they have also caused a lot of misery in places like Vietnam, who are really the nicest people you could ever meet. So I do truly get your point and America has to answer for its past abs present, but so does Russia. And this is Russian aggression this time.

No it wasn't, you cretinous fool. Zionists Kagan and Nuland at the State Dept, and their Israeli dual citizen associates, spent 5 billion USD of taxpayers'money fomenting a coup against Ukraine's elected government.

And it was Russian separatists who shot down the civilian airliner with hundreds of people on board, right?
In your fantasy world, sure. The voices told you so.

So again, I do see and respect your point.
Doubtful. You're a moron.

You're the one spreading fake theories, you dolt.

Well at least you're funny.

But they have also caused a lot of misery in places like Vietnam, who are really the nicest people you could ever meet. So I do truly get your point and America has to answer for its past abs present, but so does Russia.
Vengeful, aren't we?

And this is Russian aggression this time.
You're back to being a cretin again, I see. God, I despise low IQ fools like you who think catching a couple of minutes of a US "news" brodcast has informed you about what's really going on in the world. People like you are what's wrong with the USA: easily duped, do-gooding morons that drag other Americans along in your wake. It's buffoons like you who have blood on your hands because you're the ones that believe the paper-thin lies that the estblishment feeds you, and you dutifully sign up to support each "just" and "moral" act of US aggression.

The American people are not bad. But Americans like you are wretched.

Oh, and to address Aizino for a second: Aizino, you do a good job of portraying yourself as mentally ill with your endless rants on unrelated subjects, your almost total inability to stick to the subject at hand, and your low informtion trolling.

How many goods does it take to compensate for the death and destruction in Vietnam, Iraq, Korea, Libya, South American countries? I'll tell, you cannot begin to offset the harm done until you do two things:

1. make restitution to those you have harmed

2. stop you harming ways

For the US, so far there is no end in sight.

Russia has its history too and I agree with you, both countries have been world class assholes but at this point I would give the edge to the US. Agree?

I was going to post "When Has Chinese policy ever been about peace and stability?", but I wanted to keep the message simple.

This is what I don't like about you.

If the used scores 9 out of 10, stop the presses, it is a war crime of all war crimes.

IF China, Russia, or some other country scores 3, 5,or 7 out of 10 it is ho-um. All I hear from you mouth is anti-American rhetoric.
