Al Jazeera: EU launches nine-point economic plan to rescue Iran nuclear deal
European partners continue to view nuclear deal vital to shared security, UK Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson says.
The foreign ministers of France, Germany and the United Kingdom, along with Iran's foreign minister, have agreed on a nine-point economic plan to keep the Iran nuclear deal alive.
Meeting in Brussels on Tuesday, the ministers rushed to discuss alternative solutions after US President Donald Trump on May 8 withdrew from the deal and vowed to impose tough economic sanctions against Tehran.
"There was awareness of the urgency," Federica Mogherini, the European Union's foreign policy chief, said after the meeting.

ReplyDeleteThe Euro's made an enemy of Trump with their conduct starting in 2016. The heckling and contempt originating from EU members was the start, but now there is evidence from the Congressional investigations that intelligence services were aiding the Hillary opposition research against candidate Trump.
ReplyDeleteThis venom hasn't abated at all against Trump and wishful thinking will be used if necessary to strike the right pose in public against Trump. Again not making an ally in DC. Their plan to wait him out is likely to fail with the result the EU is 8 years into life without their American Friend.
